Taking steroids with a kidney problem is like signing your own deathwish, so I doubt that Alonzo is on them.

Furthermore, you realy cant tell if a player is using steroids or not. If someone gains alot of muscle realy quick, then that is very suspicious, but remember that these are NBA players with alot of resources to improve their physicues.

Lastly, steroids does not help baseball players play better. Just read the Specificy Theory

Uh, no actually. With response to the source i can't track it down, but i remember some while ago hearing on the radio that with Mourning there have been some alegations. the reason is as part of his recovery he has been taking steroid suplements this is a fact <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Anabolic steroids can improve the quality of life of kidney dialysis patients and people with HIV, according to two new studies. </div> http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/319016.stm
Steroids are used to help to healing process. Some insiders claim in addition to helping him get over his disease those steroids have benfeited him in other ways as well. The league may be scared to implement a strict policy, for fear of what would happen to mourning. However there can be no harm to having a stricter policy, if most players are clean.

well, then won't u htink that David Stern would say, if this heals his kidneys, then he needs to take this, than they wouldn't do much because of his reasoning for it.</div>

Not exactly, because then the questions would start popping up if mourning was also using those steroids to help increses his strenght as well as his kideneys. That's scrutiny stern wouldn't want ot deal with.

There are different kind of steroids. Testosterone boosts muscle growth (along with a hefty list of side effects), these are called anabolic-androgenic. There are steroids that treat astma, and perhaps there is some to treat kidney diseases.

Perhaps it was steroids which caused Zo's kidney failure from the first time, testosterone isnt exactly easy on the kidneys and liver... But who knows?
