I was wondering how he got so hot from 3 point range recently . . . he had a fever, that explains it.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the NBA record for most games missed due to injury or illness by a team in one season is? Maybe we can have something to countdown to, to pass the time. (edit): This person said it was Houston in 2005-06 with 256 games. So far we're sitting at 119, not including remaining games. Interestingly, Juwan Howard was also on that Rockets team, leading the team in games played... as if he benefited from their injuries... so, can we burn the witch?
I think before the next home game, all the blazer fans going to the game need to take their own cursed Blazer items (or their own items period) and create a bonfire in fire belching fountain. Exercise those demons!
well, Joel and Greg will both miss the next 48 games each, so that's 96 more. That'd put us at 215. And Travis will miss games, as will Rudy and Batum still. Travis probably will miss until mid Feb, lets say 20 more (min, imho). That's 235. Throw in What Rudy and Batum will miss (probably another 20 between the two of them) and the record is ours because of Mills!!
Season is not over yet. We will crush that record and still make the playoffs. Anyone know the record of that Rockets team?
I noticed near the end of the Clippers game that Blake was hacking quite a bit. Thought maybe he had something stuck in his throat. Hope he has a quick recovery. Just as long as it's not H1N1.
Depends. The severity of swine varies dramatically from person to person, from hardly noticeable to quite severe. The severity was originally [wrongly] downplayed because of the small sample size. Just as well, people panicked plenty as it was.
It won't matter. We'll keep winning. He'll be out for what, a week? We can make do with the eight we have. It's the system, hard work, and belief in each other that is giving the Blazers these wins at these point. As long as we're not without Blake for a two or three games, Portland will be just fine.
