They should just put a mic on CJ and let him do it. He can multitask.

It depends on what you like. Do you like story? Do you like structure? Do you like drama? Then stay the hell away from the game. It has next to none of that.

Is the color commentator going to be someone who identifies as a female? There, FIFY

I wonder if the new person will be a fan? The Mikes were both fans, who wore their emotions on their sleeves, which a lot of fans loved about them...as well as some did not like. Calabro doesn't strike me as one who will be a "fan". He'll do a great job, and get excited, but in a more professional way.

I don't want that to come off as one is netter than the other, just an opinion on what will be.

Good. We don't need them to be fan boys like the Mikes. I like fair and objective announcers

I predict that they pull a fast one on us, and hire two people. Ed Whelan and Ann Schatz....

I think both styles have value, and there would be value in both styles being represented in the broadcast team. A fair and objective PBP guy like Calabro paired with a more fan-centric color commentator would be great. And on the radio side, if they keep Wheels and return to a two-man team, I'd love to hear him paired with a more even-keeled color man.

I can't believe they call it "color commentator".

    That's racist!

You know what's interesting... I found Mike Barrett to be the more "professional" (in terms of how he came across in his voice) of the two mikes... He, for the most part, was pretty down the middle and never got too excited or biased (He had his patented "And here comes -enter opponents name here- back into the game"... even if we were up 20) .

But, I completely get where you're coming from. Calabro will most likely be "professionally excited" for our team... which isn't the worst thing.

Is that really two people? Has anyone ever seen Ed and Ann in the same place at the same time?

I thought, technically, that white was a complete LACK of color.
