Yes but no. The head coach is the boss... I know it's easy to forget that after 9 years of the summer camp that Stotts ran but in every facet the head coach is where the buck stops as far as the basketball being played. Of course the head coach needs great assistants but playing time, game plan, in game teaching and motivation are things that a head coach does. So I know we've had a cheerleading absentee for a while but I'm hoping we get someone who is very active behind the scenes and during games; making our guys better and planning how we get the most out of them.

imagine how stupid you must be to want to be the "custodians of a player's legacy" when the goal is to win a championship...especially considering that player refused to sign with your team at least twice in the past and only did, finally, because no other team wanted him

the guy who is that fucking stupid is still running the team

First thing the head coach should request is a legit back-up PG

I’m afraid this is going to be a case of “grass is always greener on the other side.” It’s not obvious who, if anyone, is going to be a good replacement.

We aren’t gonna get Phil Jackson. We would be lucky to get Van Gundy. Instead we will probably get someone incredibly mediocre like Billups, or even worse: Hammond.

Was Stotts a good coach? Not really. But he was at least mediocre and has been with the team for years. We are probably going to replace him with someone that is only marginally more talented but has no experience with our players. By the time they gel with Dame he will be out of his prime.

That’s where CJ to NYK for Quickley/Toppin/2 1s comes in.

Oh, I don't see that trade as one that lands us all of that good young stuff from the Knicks. I think if we're going to get Dame happy that young stuff goes elsewhere and we get him a legit second option that helps him win right away.

a lot of people expecting CJ to be traded, but it's not going to happen if Olshey is still GM

Welp.... I'm having a strong feeling that I won't be watching next season. It's gonna be Kidd plugged into the Dame and CJ show.

I think he knows it’s time, when CJ decided to force a pass through 3 Den players to RHJ instead of passing the ball to Dame for a wide open 3 at a crucial point of game 6 he had to have some clarity.

Lol. He finally gets fired and it’s taken about four minutes to be negative about the next coach before he or she even starts. Love it.

So that’s where the Kidd chatter came from. Dame himself.
