Maybe the Suns will surprise everyone. You have to agree, who has more depth then the suns? Im not worried about them giving the spurs an unfair advantage although Amare helps immensely.

Their rotation only goes 8 deep when everyone is available and more importantly only goes 4 deep at the 4/5 positions and they just lost 2 of their core rotation players and both of them make up half of their 4/5 rotation. I would not be surprised if there comes a time tonight that we see Raja Bell playing some power forward.

I have alot of problems with the arguments that most of yall are making. First off:Q: why were Diaw and Stoudemire suspended for going on the court but Duncan and Bowen were not suspended for going on the court?A: Stoudemire and Diaw were suspended because they ran onto the court during an "Altercation". The rule clearly states "Thou shall not leave the bench and go onto the court during an altercation." Bowen and Duncan were on the court and there was no "altercation" going on.Q: Why is the Horry/Nash situation considered an "altercation" when the Elson/Jones situation is not?A: The Horry/Nash situation is considered an "altercation" because of the reactions by 3 phoenix suns employees:1. Mike D'Antoni (ran out to "help" Steve Nash and start screaming at the officials and pointing at horry)2. Raja Bell (got up in Horry's face instead of just being calm and tending to Nash)3. Steve Nash (later got up and made an attempt to "go at" horry)The Elson/Jones situation was not considered an "altercation" because Elson did not get in Jones' face after falling on the floor. He turned the other cheek and ran down the court to play defense. Gregg Poppovich also kept his cool and did not run out on to the court to see if elson was O.K. Basically the spurs were just alot more calm and had better reactions than the suns did in that sort of situation. Also the referees did not have to calm anyone down or hold anyone back. One more thing on the whole Bowen kneeing Nash in balls incident, in basketball camps they teach you to put your leg in between your defenders legs if they are crowding you like that. In most cases when you make the move the defender moves back in protection of his jewels. In this case Bowen just continued with the move and Nash did not move himself out of the way.I also wish that this never happened because I wanted the spurs to win this year without any controversy. Every year there has been controversy when the spurs win the championship1999: Spurs championship doesn't really count because it was a lock out season2003: Spurs only went to the finals because Dirk rolled his ankle in one of the games causing him to be out the rest of the series.2005: Spurs only beat the suns because Joe Johnson wasnt at full strength.2007: (If the spurs go on to win series and title) Spurs only won championship because of bogus ruling by david stern to suspend Stoudemire and Diaw in the Phoenix series.I am sick and tired of it! David Stern, Stu Jackson and all of the NBA Front Office people made the right decision. A rule is a rule!

Also anyone that says Stoudemire was leaving the bench to "check in" is lieing to themselves. He had clear intent to go and join in on the altercation.

The referees and the league always gives the Spurs a free pass on everything...Duncan just went to check on his teammate Robert Horry? Yes, let's go make sure the guy who tossed Steve Nash into the table is alright, I bet he really got hurt when he fouled Nash!Meanwhile Amare is walking to the scorers table to check-in, see's Nash go down, makes sure Nash is alright, yet he gets suspended? Makes a lot of sense!

Leaving the bench and entering the court area during an altercation is against the rules.Duncan was on the court, playing, at the time of the incident which is why he is not suspended. Also no spurs players left the bench after the horry foul. Every player stayed at the bench unlike the suns.

It was Game 3 when Bowen and Duncan were on the floor. It was a seperate incident. But yeah, like I said in the other thread, the Spurs are awarded because Horry threw and elbow and James Jones didn't start a fight the previous game. And since the dirty team seems to always get an advantage, Duncan better watch his knee area.

Your saying Amare was going to see if Nash was okay? He was obviously going to confront Horry. Diaw wasnt, and I dont think he shouldve been suspended.I didnt get to see that other time when Duncan and Bowen supposedly stepped on the court. Post a youtube please.

Balla posted it twice in this thread or the one under it.I didn't know you were Amare or knew how to read minds....looking at his facial expression on the news it seemed that he just wanted to see if Nash was okay. It doesn't really matter what he might have done because he was no where near Horry. Not even within 15 feet. He might've left the bench but is not stupid enough to go at Horry and fight. If the NBA wants to award the Spurs for their dirty play that's fine. I won't be upset at all if Duncan blows out his knees tonight after everything that team has done.

I don't want to read through the whole thread, so someone could have said this already.Where do you draw the line? Amare and Diaw left the bench. What if Burke and Thomas did too? How about adding Raja and Banks? What if the whole team left the bench? Would they all be suspended? If it is a clean cut, no gray area situation that if you leave the bench area you're suspended, what would happen?

There is no way of telling what Amare's intentions were, but they were likely similar to Duncan's. Amare did not come out as deep onto the floor as Duncan did. Suns fans have a right to be pissed, especially fo all of the dirty sh*t the Spurs have done this series that have gone unpunished.

The difference between the two situations is that Jones was not purposefully trying to hurt Elson. He just got caught under him. In Horry's case, there is no question that he was trying to AT LEAST get into Nash's head if not injure him. It was an altercation because of the situation. People don't fight when there is a mistake normally, whereas when someone takes another player's career in their hands, yeah, people are bound to get pissed off.And don't make excuses for Stern. He himself said that he has the final say on all suspensions, etc.

here's some good logic I read from Bill Simmons on ESPN2.So you're playing a pick up game with your friends vs some other guys you don't really know.Your friend drives to the basket and gets shoved and falls down into the basket support. You mean you DON'T take a few steps towards the guy who shoved him as a first instinct!? It's a natural reaction. Common sense has to come into play. Stoudemire and Diaw both took a couple of steps out of instinct toward Horry, caught themselves and stayed out of it. That deserves a suspension?Simmons makes perfect sense. Neither Diaw or Stoudemire caused the situation to be any worse, common sense would say they really did nothing wrong. The world just is not black and white IMO. Hell even the police let you get away with a warning when you get caught speeding sometimes.

Messed up the whole series I am very upset on the reply it even looks as Amare is next to the bench being held back from going on the court maybe he went out, and then got pushed back to the bench, but still he should not have been suspended.
