Re: Strikeforce: Miami [Results] They do this on *every* show. I don't know what the deal is. They started at 7:30... why not start at 7:00?
Re: Strikeforce: Miami [Results] Yeah that fight will never happen. Looks like Heiron or some other UFC dropout will be the only competition for Diaz. Noons probably won't fight at WW...
Re: Strikeforce: Miami [Results] I did some hard investigating on Marloes Coenen. She reminds me of a Cincinnati Bengal, Nice uniform, ugly helmet
Re: Strikeforce: Miami [Results] Supposedly the fight happened after the main event when people were streaming out the doors...

Might be overblown but Lashley and Sims got into it a bit after the fight backstage and almost started round two.
He doesn't want it. Check out his post-fight interview at Fanhouse. Supposedly they're going to put him up with Brett Rogers.
Lashley is either trying to maintain some sort of image that he thinks he has with the fans or he's scared.
I looked into this more and Joe Riggs did beat Nick Diaz when they were in the UFC together...so if you want to go by MMA math Hieron has an argument about getting a title shot...His only chance is lay and pray though. (I am assuming thats what Riggs did to secure his win
I wish Manhoef won that match - I loved the leg kicks. I think he kicks harder when he doesn't wear that dress of his into the cage!
I liked the event myself. I think their opening intro is miles better than the UFC's tired old Gladiator and face the pain song. Lawler shocked the hell outta me by not punching much at all. I couldn't figure out what he was up to. It worked regardless. He is not the reckless guy everyone saw in the UFC. Much more patient and composed. Diaz looks so much better at 185. Hell I even sent him a message on myspace after a decision loss suggesting he'd have more power at 185 like 3-4 yrs ago. Of course I never got a reply Cyborg Santos is a beast. Looking forward to her next match Lashely needs to face better competition and someone with some type of wrestling background, period. Herschel Walker.. meh, I think he'd have been a good MMA fighter if he was 20-25 yrs younger.. so long as he could take a punch. Hopefully he doesn't fight more than once more if at all. I don't blame Strikeforce for letting him fight, it got casual ppl and media interested and it's not like he was in the main or co-main event. I'm liking what Strikeforce is doing so far. Here's hoping they can develop some talent or bring it over from DREAM (which is looking over rated after the event IMO) to challenge the named fighters they have established.

^ Herschel Walker is donating his earnings to charity, or taking a charitable donation in lieu of pay; one or the other. I think $600 might be a minimum payout.
I feel bad for Coenen, only earning 2k to take that kind of beating from Cyborg. I also thought Manhoef would get at least 5 figures.
