New Orleans would NOT be a 50-win team in the east. they are 13-17 vs. eastern conference teams. They actually have a better win% against western conference teams.in fact, take a look at this:SA's record vs. West: 42-10 (.807) vs. East: 21-9 (.700)Dallas' record vs. West: 37-15 (.711) vs. East: 23-7 (.766)Memphis' record vs. West: 31-21 (.596) vs. East: 18-12 (.600)New Orleans' record vs. West: 25-27 (.480) vs. East: 13-17 (.433)Houston's record vs. West: 19-33 (.365) vs. East: 15-15 (.500)SA and New Orleans have a better win% against the West. Memphis' is nearly identical, and Dallas' record isn't much better vs. the East.
central division is the strongest and has the most rising stars...which equates into being a powerhouse for years to come
I think the Central has the edge, everyone of the teams made the playoffs and the best team is in it. Those Detroit Pistons of Auburn Hills.
Please, it's easily the Atlantic! LOL jk But I would say Southwest. I mean San Antonio, Dallas, Memphis, New Orleans, and Houston. A healthy Houston is a tough boot, San Antonio and Dallas are 2 of 3 teams I would argue for the title this year, Memphis is very solid and a good team, they just need another piece, and New Orleans suprised the hell out of me and they have the next superstar PG in the NBA. But the Central is no slouch, I mean Detroit is Detroit, Cleveland keeps getting better and better and has a phenom in LeBron, Indiana when fully healthy (including Tinsley) is a very very good team and they can keep up with anyone even Detroit. Chicago is a team full of young stars and the best part is that they ALL understand defense already. Then you got Milwaukee who is a decent team, and they got a star in Michael Redd, an exceptional young PG in T.J. Ford, an all out banger in Jamaal Magloire, promising young big in Bogut, plus a great 6th man in Mo Williams, and not to mention solid players like Bobby Simmons and Joe Smith. But I would definitely take the Southwest.
