If that really is one of the most stupid, ignorant and hypocritical fucking things you've ever heard than you've lived a very sheltered life. (and don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with that. all parents try to shelter their children from the harsh realities of the real world.) I'm not defending his statement, just giving you some needed perspective.

To be fair, his life has been a short one. And when you can finally start going to bars, you start hearing some really stupid crap.

LOL! It's so unfair that history only remembers the good players.

Can you give me an example of something that would be featured or highlighted in your white history month that's not traditionally covered in the normal study of history? What part or parts of white history do you feel are not recognized in history books?

this isn't really germane to the discussion, but I know that I took AP history two years in HS and never made it past 1945. Dunno if that's still the same.

Why the fuck do we, in America, need to honor or observe a mexican national holiday for anyway? Once again the stupidity of liberal logic rears its ugly head....

I hope that principal sent any kids home who dared to wear the american flag on March 17th, offending all those white irish people.....trying to incite violence....or on Canada's national holdiay, when the fuck is that again?

face paint and mexican colors are ok on May 5th, but red\white and blue or american flags...well that is just offensive...what a fucking joke...

and who gives a shit if they were making a "silent" statement....quite frankly, if you feel like someone else wearing a t-shirt of an american flag in thier own country is offensive...well, then maybe it is YOU that has the problem.....

I'm not offended by them wearing it.. I just find it sad (if true) that someone would do something for the purpose of angering people.

I look at people like John Dawson, James Hardy, Branch Rickey, Audie Murphy, Wally Schirra and even Percy Spencer. I'll bet most kids have no idea who any of those people are. I'll bet most adults don't know who they are either. They all had a great impact on the world today in some form or another though.

kind if like flaunting the colors\flag of your country in the face of other people, in another country?

last time I checked Mexico's national holiday has no relevance in America....other than an excuse to drink and eat mexican food...

Actually Cinco De Mayo isn't a Mexican national holiday and it's primarily celebrated in the USA while being completely ignored in most of Mexico. It might help to know what you're talking about before going on such a rant next time.

I think it's sad that people are projecting onto these kids some sort of malice or ill-intent of which there is absolutely no evidence.

I don't think it's been mentioned, or if it matters but you do lose almost all your rights when you step on to school grounds.....

That's true. I wonder if the Mexican-American students would have been even more upset if someone would have worn a French flag on May 5th?

Tinker v. Des Moines (1969) disagrees with you in regard to freedom of speech.

I'm going to be cynical here, and make the assumption a lot of the kids under 18 don't realize the purpose of Cinco De Mayo. Maybe even suggest that the new purpose of Cinco De Mayo, much like St Patrick's day is now to celebrate culture. Does anyone really give a fuck about driving snakes out of Ireland? No it is about being Irish (which also means a drunkard). Further more, I think it would be a good idea for people to have more holidays like this, eg. Chinese New Year. Would it be racist to suggest a African heritage holiday that is not Kwanzaa?
