I think the people who live in America and hate it have every rite to hate it. If they hate it so much, why not just go somewhere else? That's what I was trying to convey. I also said nothing about the Government. I don't support anything this particular Governing body over America has been doing, but I support my country, and served to fight for it's freedoms.

So if people wanna burn flags and march on Washington because lil' Achmed is offended that we say the National Anthem in school, that's their choice. I'd rather them just get the fuck out and go somewhere they would be happy living, instead of trying to change everything about this country.

It's not really a good point. The majority of Hispanics are Catholic, and the majority of Catholics are Democrat.

Do you have anything to back this up or is this just a "gut feeling" you have? I'd say they're split evenly if anything.

It's not a gut feeling, but I don't want to find that stat. There are many articles about the rise of the Catholic church because of Hispanics though. Also articles on why Catholics vote Dem

American Catholics vote Dem, but Hispanic Catholics are way more conservative than the average Catholic. They are more likely to vote Dem, though (and this was my point) because Republicans are trying to kick their kind out with the butt of a gun.

Not to cross-knit religion and politics (who'm I kidding?) but I'm pretty sure the same bible that catholics and I use talks about following the civic laws of the land and paying taxes levied on you by the government of the land you're in/ruled by. The ones that the Republicans are trying to kick out (and into a line, if they want to come back in) are ones that a) aren't following the rules and b) not voting. So again, we're back to the "are you supposed to hate/demonstrate against/vote against people trying to enforce laws that people of your heritage/skin color are breaking?"

Look, I'm a big fan of voting what you believe in. One of the reasons I respect Jim McDermott here in WA (though I disagree with almost all of his policies and opinions) is that he's from ultra-liberal Snohomish County, and votes for and represents things that the people in his district want.
If 70% of Arizona thinks this is a good law, and it's constitutional (i know that's still in debate), then what's the problem?
If hispanic catholic voters want to vote (D) b/c the Dems aren't trying to throw out illegal immigrants then that's their prerogative. It's just hypocritical to me, and I don't understand it. Hence the question at the end of my last post. But if I was a politician (and probably one of the big reasons I'm not) is that I don't feel that compromising integrity to get votes is legit. I know it's done all the time, and I'm showing my naivete. But that's just not how I'm wired.

I would like to see those articles . . . because if they are strongly catholic (and that is a huge part of their life) I'm willing to bet they vote Republican because of the whole anti abortion issue. That is a huge issue for religious people.

Anyone upset by children who are proud of their country should go live in a country they support, and the Hispanic students who were provoking people by wearing colors in support of a foreign country simply reaffirm the fact they are here as parasites, not as compatriots.

I have several hispanic friends, legally naturalized citizens of America, and they don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo at all.

But boy do they go all out on The Fourth of July.

Not really. Hispanics only vote Dem because Dems excuse their illegal presence in our country.

The Catholic church, and most hispanics, are opposed to abortion.

The Democratic party supports abortion rights.

Being incapable of correctly punctuating a coherent sentence is retarded. See how much fun that is?
