<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The only problem with that is that it isn't really racist. I mean, you can't call me racist for being nice to white people and fair to black people. The term racist implies that you are making another race inferior to your own through your actions and language.</div>yeah, but it's subtle racial bias. In the end run it's treating people of your own race better than the other race, which is subtle racial bias. The study is not out to prove the refs are out to get opposite race players, rather it's adding to the growing body of evidence that the vast majority of people have subtle prejudice in split second decisions.

Not to mention that the bias is not at a level that anybody could notice it.
Considering theres more blacks in the NBA than whites, I'm not suprised at all by this.. this study is garbage.. They've always gotta bring racism into this when the league is made up of ALL BLACKS, so yes, more calls will go against the black people - because theres so many more of them.
Anyone ever think that black players are usually more aggressive than whites? You have the bunch of white shooters who do nothing on D-KorverKaponoBrent BarryCarrollMike MillerPejaJ-willDirka dirkaSczerbiakTurkgoluReddickWhite stiffs who never leave their feet-IlgauskasMihmPryzbillaRashoMurphyBrad MillerThere is no white Ron Artest or Ben Wallace out there who will punch someone driving to the lane.

The number of black people in the NBA has nothing to do with this study. It shows that white refs call more fouls on black players than black refs do and black refs call more fouls on white players than white refs do.

What the study is saying is that white refs are harder on black players than black refs are, while black refs are harder on white players and white refs are.
