We didn’t expect the greater ice extent left at the end of this summer’s melt to be reflected in the volume. But it has been, and the reason is related to the amount of multiyear ice in the Arctic.” said Rachel Tilling from the UK’s Centre for Polar Observation and Modelling, who led the study into Arctic sea ice thickness, and was quoted in an ESA press release.

    Yep. It sure was ironic how the climate change scientist believed the hype and went to the antarctic and got stuck in ice they didn't believe could be there.

    Our navy had to rescue the clueless idiots who got stuck. The chinese icebreaker failed at the rescue as well. Sometimes heroes run in the direction of the danger to save others. But the climate scientist put our Navy and Marines and the Chinese vessel at risk.

    If it weren't so ironic, it would be deadly serious. But it's hilarious.

    BTW, did Algore's powerpoint deck have the aliens bit in it?

    Sounds like the ice stays the same, just some of it moves from land to water or from water to land.
