Can we get Greg Menroe or Trevor Ariza?

One player who has been mentioned in trade rumors throughout this season is Greg Monroe, the young power forward who will be a restricted free agent this offseason since he couldn’t agree on an extension with the Pistons. It’s no secret that Josh Smith is better at the four, and it’s possible that Detroit moves the valuable Monroe to upgrade another position and slide Smith over to power forward.

You need to think for a minute before tossing out big names like Monroe. He is a RFA, is rumored to want a max contract and plays the same position as our best player. If we got him and gave him a max we would certainly lose a few more valuable pieces like mathews and Lopez.

If CJ is all that,...Then perhaps loosing Mathews isn't as big as some make it out to be?

I think we'll look to shore up our bench. We'll probably find a new backup SF.

We wouldn't have the money to sign Monroe to a max deal this off season is the big thing. We would have to trade for him and the cost of that alone would be high. Add in LMA on a max contract, Lillard on a max, Batums contract and Monroe on a max and we would only be able to afford 1 year vet minimum contracts after 2015. I personally do not think Monroe is worth a max, to this team, let alone Batum type money.

Ok but either way, If CJ can really play then loosing Mathews may not be as big as some make it out to be. That's all I'm saying.

Someone like Granger would be a nice addition assuming he can remain healthy and his 10 million a year deals are behind him.

It's nice to have a season where the offseason is one of the furthest things from my mind.
