    But that's because you're un-American.

PER covers a lot of sins, especially defensively. Olynyk could certainly put up numbers if he was given minutes. And on a team as bad as the Celtics, you'd've thought he'd get more minutes than, say, Jerryd Bayless, the ghost of Gerald Wallace and Chris Johnson. But I guess they were tanking and didn't want his awesomeness to drag them out of the lottery.

Halftime of a traditional Celtics vs. Pacers game. Bird & a gray-haired, fat Pritchard are sitting on one side. Isiah Thomas is doing color on the other. Popeye Jones has gained so much weight that his ears no longer stick out.

While Thomas pulled for his alma mater state Indiana, he said that being from West Chicago, he would have loved to join the Bulls with his enemy Michael Jordan. Asked whether Jordan would have played with him, Thomas said that after a couple of dribbles, Jordan would have gotten over it.

Why is the Orlando league so much more boring than the Las Vegas one? Is it the camera angle? The lack of a crowd? These games put me to sleep.

Watching Danny Ainge watch the Celtics (with Marcus Smart and Olynyk) just get buried was kind of comical. He suddenly looked very old.

I've got to say, I've really envied OKC's drafts the past couple of years. Adams last year and McGary this year...

Jordan Adams was there to be had in the late first.

He's not athletic but he's a smart defensive player and his shot is pure.

    Such a nice prospect.

It's so nice to watch Orlando Summer League, because NBA-TV broadcasts the Las Vegas SL differently. In their belief that the thousands of viewers watch SL because we hate SL, NBA-TV tries to do us a favor by wiping out an entire quarter every game with the most boring interview they can find.

Remember last summer when they ruined over a quarter of a Blazer game by showing the press conference announcing that Charlotte was changing its name? We already knew that, and then they added 15 minutes of stupid, repetitive questions from reporters. When we were finally allowed to return late in the game, it had been decided.

That game was our last chance to do anything in the playoffs after a horribly disappointing SL (we had the most draftees in the league but were blown out every game). So when we posted complaints, a couple of posters who weren't watching posted to belittle our interest in SL--exactly the audience NBA-TV aims for (see 2nd sentence).

HCP said he'd pass this along to his superiors. Any progress, HCP, before I have to sabotage the quarter-long interviews with one-fourth urine Gatorade?

I liked Orlando when it was just two local guys and a webcam on the balcony. Those guys were funny.

Man, I still wish we would have found a way to draft McGary. Guy is good.

Two of my main guys in this draft, Payton and McGary looked real nice today.

Joe Freeman: #Blazers announce summer league roster, which includes McCollum, Barton, Crabbe, T. Rob, Freeland and Leonard, as expected.

Almost half the Blazer roster is playing summer league. Too many young inexperienced players on the Blazer roster . . .

Last summer we had 1 more draftee, 7 because of Claver, than now. We got the parade permit and were all ready for the championship.
