He could pull a Monroe and sign the QO rather than an extension. He could also privately hold talks with the team telling him he's not staying on after his rookie contract is up, opening the door to be traded before a QO is signed. Why anyone on MIN signs extensions is beyond me...

Monroe didn't pull anything; Detroit wouldn't pay him the extension.

There's never been a player in NBA history who's turned down a max rookie contract extension.

DeRozan and Larry Sanders and we build Olshey a statue.

But for real, I think plan A is DeRozan and Plan B is Greg Monroe. Olshey and stotts obviously see something in Monroe and it just feels like a matter of time lol. DeRozan is less realistic but if he's open to leaving Toronto, Portland should be near the top of his list.

Agreed, I thought when I posted that link that the moratorium was being reduced that it would gather a lot of discussion. I think it is a good thing personally.

They were probably more worried about Dwightmare 3.0.

Anyone seeing the Lebron toying with the media stuff going on about wanting to team up with other guys and unfollowing the Cavs on Twitter? It's a shame he'd never give us a look, Lillard and CJ would have to be a better option than broken down Wade or Melo.

Would you want LeBron? I wouldn't.

Lets say he comes here and wins a title; do you think Dame, any players on our roster, our franchise, our fans get credit for it?

I'd rather fail trying to do something hard than succeed at something easy.

LeBron on the court is very unselfish, Dame would get a ton more love and exposure with LeBron on the team.

I want a title, so if LeBron was like "hey I'm taking my talents to the real 'land" I'd be a giddy school girl.

I wouldnt mind LBJ by himself, but not with his fantasy squad following him.

They bring up the idea of Dwight to POR in the summer. Still intrigued tbh. That HOU system and locker room is not conducive to success. I'd love to see what he could do with Dame and Neil/Terry for something less than max.

I have zero interest in Dwight.

He's declining athletically. He's had maturity issues for 3 franchises. Aging declining superstars are the hardest to deal with for a coach, GM, and fellow players. They don't understand or accept their new limitations. Center is our deepest position with Plumlee/Davis. We have massive holes at other positions on the roster. Just doesn't make an iota of sense.

Not easily. His Potential Impact just outweighs everything.
