I think Hayward, paul, griffin, and milsap change teams. Curry and Durant, and lowery and ibaka probably stay home. looks like a couple of restricted free agents might get offered the max this time around. detroits KCP is likely to get the same offer crabbe got from Brooklyn, noel, len and plumlee are all going to get paid dearly. the next tier down like last years parsons includes Galinari, wade, Teague and hill of Utah. Reddick waiters evans and holiday are available too. some older or injury prone names on the list might make AC's contract a more palatable option for someone in a trade but unsure we get value and cap savings in such a deal.
he is likely to go to boston and reunite with his college coach in stevens. young enough to get another max deal after .
Sounds like if we get him, you can't say no one is untouchable. What will happen to 95% of your posts?! :MARIS61:
Hayward to Boston Paul back to New Orleans Griffin to Los Angeles (Lakers) Millsap to Pheonix Redick to Indiana
he wont come here. he hates the blazers. remember getting the best point guard ever in nolan smith before him? he always has said that he loves it when he beats us.
What does everyone think of trying to get Draymond Green. GSW will have challenges trying to resign both max guys Durant and Curry, and resign or replace Iggy, Pechulia, Livingston and West. They might look at our 3 picks (and Turner or Crabbe) as a way of balancing the checkbook! Dame - CJ - Harkless - Green - Nurk!
Which is fine. He is nice role (or is it roll?) player off the bench. We don't need a stretch 4, but we do need someone who can spread the floor at least a little bit. I think we can get that in the draft.
I think we gotta target Avery Bradley. Not exactly sure what Boston would want, but with all their young guys already, Bradley's expiring deal next year, and their top pick in the draft (which may end up with a guard), it seems like he could be available. He'd be a perfect fit next to Dame and CJ IMO.
I'm pretty happy with Vonleh if his developmental trend continues, I like Aminu coming off the bench on his contract, I think we'll be hard pressed to move ET (and I like the different aspects he brings) so for me I would be looking to move Crabbe and Meyers to clear salary space, and maybe Harkless and Ed with an asset to upgrade the SF position, then use free agency to fill needs on the bench.
Target Aaron Afflalo. Please read first before you puke. Trade Meyers ($9.9 million) & one of our first round picks for Aaron Afflalo ($12.5 million). This trade sounds bad, adding salary, plus I do not want Afflalo in a Blazers uniform again. So how does this trade help the Blazers? It could cut about $30 million from our team salary over the next three seasons. Afflalo’s contract expires next season. However, only $1.5 million is guaranteed. We could trade for Afflalo, and then cut him (I think). This would save $8.4 million next season, and then $10.6 million and $11.2 million the following seasons.
Give Denver their Memphis pick back: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=m7ldyno They get some really good shooters and a 1st, we get disgruntled players, ball hogs, and $10 mil in cap space.
We gain very little by getting rid of Meyers-- his contract isn't THAT bad, even if he keeps at his current production. PA paid loads of $ for Varejao and Mike Miller to get more draft picks-- he certainly won't be okay with giving up picks to move contracts.
