Odor is a punk though. He's the same guy who started a brawl in the minors and almost broke a guys leg with an ultra dirty slide last year. In fairness Bautista did the bat flip last year and got drilled yesterday. Odor getting mad for a hard slide is ridiculous but he did indeed tag him with a good shot.

hey don't feel bad Rick, its all I can do to keep this old ass up long enough to see the ending, and you've got 3 hours on me....

once the summer heats up tho', the coffee pot doesn't go off until 7-pm.

actually, I watch Quick Pitch 'til 3 am, MLB tonight until the sun rises... its all I can do (at times) to get up by 10 am, to catch those Right Coast 1'oclock EST games, ....

The Yankees record against Oakland since the '13 season is 6-16, that includes being swept at the Stadium. Four game series there, need to spin that one around.

Both these guys are punks, who happened to meet in the right place at the right time. Wish they'd of K'O-d each other tho'.

    "Ultra"
    - is that anything like Uber...? Joey did go in damn near sitting up-right in the Ultra-Uber take out mode.

Love how Bats got up, yelled at Odor, then Odor pushed Joey hard, Joey looked like he was going to push-back, when Odor round-housed 'em. Not often one gets to see Bats beat-down, in lieu of show off. Slo-Mo playback is priceless, Joey's face was deformed like "Hands of Stone" hit 'em, (DVR)-rewind, ultra slow- ("ooooouuuuggghhhhh ssshshshhhiiiiiitttt")

Rough day for "Flip" yesterday. Whacked with a 98 MPG pitch, then whacked with an opposing players fist. Can't say I feel for him, he needed a come uppance.

06 often comes to mind, when the Yanx play in Oakland. Game 1, a 15-2 blowout by the Yanx, proceed to lose the next two. Same year the Yanx hung double digit points, in 22 games played, if my math serves me right....but these are not the 06 Yanx...

Couple of things I remember bout that '06 team. Yankees lost Deki and Sheffield played subs and won. Went into Detroit took 3/4 . Melky Cabreras spectacular catch of a Manny Rameriz fly in Yankees Stadium. Kicking Bostons ass 5 straight in Fenway. When Deki and Sheff came back I thought Torre put them back out too soon. They shit the bed against Detroit in the playoffs getting beat one game by Rogers. Highs and lows.

....^^^ definitely a 'high and low' team; that a roller coaster of a season.

Wang, became the #1 SP w/19 Wins, and we had to write W@ng on the BSPN board, for censorship-

RJ at 42, bad back one week prior or so, going into Detroit, looking pathetic, bats went silent, RJ get's an epidural to pitch, but had nothing left.

Plus we had the Proctor, Farnsworth (w/his reading glasses), show, never knew who was going to do what, team wide.

    Bust out or blow up...

I hear ya - looks like the mausoleum in Oakland has been a little house of horrors last couple yrs for Yanks and the Arizona series has "trap" written all over it - lol
Dbacks currently on 7G home losing streak (third longest streak in franchise history).

Also, big outfield could create problems for Beltran in RF, and Ellsbury better be healthy and ready. Typical example of how inter-league play (no DH) puts A.L. team at disadvantage - if Yanks go with Beltran in RF they lose something on defense, if they go with their better defender, they lose Beltran's bat.

Obviously it's still only mid May but Yanks have already dug themselves a nice little hole where 1-6, 2-5 road trip makes it get "later" sooner....3-4 shouldn't sting too much but this is a snapshot of the season where the Yanks need to show some balls.

...it was quite obvious by his demeanor as he stood up after the slide glaring and barking at Odor...he made that slide with bad intentions and he paid the price.

...Odor may be a punk but so is Bautista and he's proven it more than once...and if he hadn't acted like a bush league punk last October by glaring at the pitcher and then flipping his bat, none of what occurred yesterday would have ever happened.
