You might of chose Allen Iverson and expanded on his career accomplishments while Dogma could have chose Jordan and expanded just enough. I wouldn't give you my vote because you explained your reasoning more than he did, I would give my vote to the correct and obvious choice. You did a better job explaining your choice but you didn't change my mind about which will be better remembered and that is what you were supposed to do to obtain my vote.

Still, I don't think it's on what you agree with. It's on which has the better debate though. We're not stupid enough to have AI vs. MJ.

if it's really that big of a deal to you SunnyD, i'll let you go on in my place. I don't really care all that much about who wins this.

The point is who is the better debater. If the question was DWade or LeBron, and the person who chose LeBron gave a clearly better debate, I would say he is the winner even though I feel Wade is better. If both chose Wilt then it would be like the ballerman topic where iversonfan didn't choose a different draft class, gave practically same explainations ballerman did, and it was a boring and unsuccessful debate.

He debated very well and he didn't clearly give a better debate. It was slightly better but the choice was ridiculous! How can you choose the Pistons/Pacers brawl over a 100 point game which is talked about today and has been the greatest accomplishment in the history of the NBA.Let's not be a sore loser. When I lost I didn't whine and wasn't a sore loser about it. You have to move on and respect the choices, you're a global moderator, you should know better than that.

And it isn't ridiculous, most of the time when people think of soccer in other countries they think of those terrible riots moreso than records and such. The brawl quite possibly ruined a Pacers team that was possibly on their way to a ring, has permanently changes the security at games, and is the ugliest black eye the NBA has ever gotten. People tend to think positive, so Wilt's 100pt game WILL be remembered moreso in people's minds down the line, but the brawl will be the worst thing the NBA has ever experienced. And I am not SunnyD, the debater, just so you know. I am not even in the contest, but I feel it is highly unfair to give one person an edge because you agree with his choice instead of giving the edge to the better debater.

You must also choose the right choices to be the better debator. He debated better because he expanded on his wrong points that I didn't agree on at all. He just posted longer debates but overall I didn't agree on his points and didn't really understand them. I'm not trying to be biased and I don't even know the two but from all honesty, nba dogmatist chose the right moment and he explained his choice very well because the 100 point game is still something that is talked about on a regular basis while the brawl is already put aside and isn't talked about as nearly as much as the 100 point game and all the comparisons of the 100 point game and Kobe's 81 point game.

This is a debate contest. If you say the sky is red and make people actually somewhat believe it and give a more persuasive response than the guy who says it is blue, then he should be the winner. The point of this contest is to find the best debater on this site, not to find the person you agree with the most. And you don't know if Wilt's 100pt game will be remembered moreso than the Pistons brawl in 30 years. Wilt's game was barely covered, it is more of a legend than a huge story. The Pistons brawl was covered everywhere, from CNN to Fox News, and made headlines not just in the sports section, but everywhere. It was probably the ugliest brawl in American sports in the past 50 years or so, it changed the way stadium safety is conducted, and has drastically effected a whole franchise and nearly ruined a few players' careers. As for Kobe's 81pt game, do you think the average person would remember Elgin Baylor or David Robinson's 70 point games? No. Do you think the average person would know exactly how many points MJ's career high is? Probably not. Kobe's 81 is probably the greatest scoring achievement of all time, but it won't be remembered like the brawl or Wilt's 100.

Well SunyD's job as a debator was to make me believe in his choice and he didn't do that which is why nba dogmatist should and is the winner. If nba dogmatist doesn't move on I will honestly be mad because he made the better debate but the only reason I even said SunnyD made better points was because his debates were longer, not better.

Then you shouldn't have said it in the first place. If you honestly felt nba dogmatist was the better debater (which doesn't mean person you agreed with). Again, I feel Wade is better than Bron, but if a person just says Wade is better leader, scorer, etc... yet the person who picked Bron gives analysis, stats, etc... then I'd pick person who said Bron was better player. That is what this contest is about, the questions themselves aren't supposed to be a big part of the game, the answers themselves and how they were put together are.

SunnyD explained his reasoning and made his debates longer but nba dogmatist did an excellent job debating also and really explained his reasoning well on how the 100 point game is talked about daily in house holds across the country.

It's about debating skills and how they use them, not the actual theme and question of each debate. If you felt SunnyD was the better debater, then I'd say he got robbed in this contest. If you honestly felt the better debater was nba dogmatist, then someone should lock this topic and start next round.

RashadMcCantz, it has absolutely nothing to do with what side somebody chooses in a debate... it's a debate contest, and the whole purpose of the match-ups is to see who is the better debator.I'll vote for somebody who chose the harder side to defend and defended it decently before I vote for somebody who chose the easier side to defend and defended it almost perfectly.

Honestly, I just said something that the Admin stressed. Did I whine? Hell no. Dogma did pick the side he didn't want to go with. So he would have picked the brawl, had I not posted first Rashad.Geez, Nitro put more points towards the brawl than I did [IMG]I want to battle you Rashad. Dogma, good job, you advanced.
