We have done an excellent job this off-season. The Q for KT trade will greatly help us over the next three years. Q-Rich was just awful during the playoffs. He cannot play defense that well other then taking charges and struggled to find his shot. Q was nothing more then a specialist on our team and specialists (ala Korver, etc) are usually ineffective in the playoffs. We replace Q with a guy that can rebound, play great defense against bigs, and hit the midrange jumper when Amare is doubled. Raja Bell is a team guy and leader that will greatly help the Suns. He is a consistent shooter, is playoff tested, and most importantly is a great defender. Bell can guard guys like T-Mac, Kobe, and Howard in the West. This guy also averaged 12 ppg last season and was a guy Jerry Sloan loved (that is saying something). Overall two great moves that address our weaknesses from last season.
and the Suns keep improving, there offseason has been great so far and with this addition i expect to see them back to WCF or maybe even the nba finals
Raja Bell can play all perimeter positions and defend all perimeter positions, he also has a very good jumpshot, and average scoring ability, perfect role player for Phoneix Nash/Barbosa Johnson/Bell Marion/Jimmy Jackson Amare/McCarthy Thomas/Hunter
Raja Bell is a good addition for the Suns. He can come off the bench and provide defense, which in the playoffs could be very important to the Suns. Bell is also a good leader, and he shot over 40% from three last season. He has played for the Mavericks with Steve Nash. Bell is unlikely to get the 28MPG he was getting in Utah, but he will help out the Suns in the minutes he gets.
Great moves so far but we still need an athletic and tall center. Thomas is only 6'9. We need someone at leat 6'11 or around seven. The suns must keep looking.
Why don't they just trade Voskuhl for a draft pick and use the money they saved to keep Hunter? Geez...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ArizonaSportsFan22:</div><div class="quote_post">Why don't they just trade Voskuhl for a draft pick and use the money they saved to keep Hunter? Geez...</div> I agree ArizonaSports Hunter is a player that will do nothing but improve and is worth keeping. He has also dedicated himself to gaining 20 lbs. He fits our run and gun style, can play defense, and is a good team player (not to mention he loves the area). Keeping Hunter is a must!
I agree, during the regular season he came off the bench and lead the suns in shots blocked, talk about potential. I think he can would be great at the 5 and would maybe average a double double. I like hunter he is a very commited and aggresive player.
