Wow Warriors coming out fireing on all cylinders their up 18-6 with 3 minutes into the game. I am skipping school tommorow so I'm gonna stay up late to watch this game.
<div class="quote_poster">AlleyOop Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Harrington at Center? Is Biedrins hurt, or is Nellie just stupid?</div> I have to quote myself -- Wow -- 18 points in 3 minutes -- maybe Nellie's a genius... And JRich is on fire
I'm a fan of hard nosed in your face defense grind it out basketball of the East. But I gotta admit from time to time I love watching this kind of basketball.
A few people predicted JRich would blow up tonight, but could they have imagined this? 16 points in 6 minutes!!!!
No Biedrins starting too. We're giving up a higher % of points, but the guard play is perfect. Only Harrington (at center) is struggling.
Is it just me or do the Suns seem relaxed, they seem like that they don't care they are losing by double digits.
Well, maybe the Suns aren't moving up or down in the playoff berthing... who knows. They may not worry so much if they don't have to face us in the playoffs because we don't make the playoffs. BTW I hate Pietrus. Dammit, get that guy out of there. He's always committing these moronic fouls that are totally unnecessary. He's so out of control.
It's like I said: Suns will allow the Warriors to win this game so they get into the playoffs to play the Mavs, one of only two teams the Suns are slightly afraid of, where the Warriors would have the best chance in the first round of eliminating the Mavs. Suns just keep chip chip chipping away at that lead though. I think they're relaxed because they know they can just press the GO button at any time and beat the Warriors if they really want to. I'm only half joking about that too.

We can almost book that the 4th quarter warriors will melt down against playoff bound teams because of a variety of reasons. The Suns can beat anyone as long as their offense is consistent. If the field goals don't rain down, then it's famine for the Suns as their production is based on offensive production rather than defense. The Mavs, on the other hand, are more balanced and could go bigger or smaller because of how much versatility they have. They have the speed and ballhandlers/shooters to play open offense and they have the size to feed the post or play off a big mismatch. I guess the Suns could go bigger if they wanted to, but the initiators on offense are always through guys like Nash or Diaw or some other guard. Stoudamire and Marion are the rebounders and inside finishers. So, if they wanted to put their most talented 5 in there, it would be guys running and cutting to get open while ballhandlers and passers try to find those guys and draw double teams.
The Suns look relaxed because they are an experienced team that is used to winning and they have one of the best coaches in the league. You can bet they want to crush the Warriors -- it's not that they're not trying. They've just been so successful they understand that there's no reason to panic. It would be dangerous for GS to let up AT ALL in the 2nd half. Suns could easily get hot.
