Of course, instead of giving credit to GS, Barkley talks about how the Suns just played terrible defense. I mean, c'mon Charles, JRich still has to MAKE those 6 threes!
You score 63 points in a half and your having a great game. Yet Pheonix is still down 14 points, Warriors having a great game, this one should be in the 120s.

<div class="quote_poster">AlleyOop Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Kenny the Jet just called Monta Ellis a "bigger" guard who likes to post people up on the block...</div>I think they were talking about Baron there, weren't they?
<div class="quote_poster">HiRez Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I think they were talking about Baron there, weren't they?</div> Yeah they were.
<div class="quote_poster">HiRez Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I think they were talking about Baron there, weren't they?</div> No. Kenny started with saying the Warriors have biger guards. First he mentioned Baron being a "body guard" and being overpowering. Then he talked about how Jason Richardson is strong on the block too. Then, because he was trying to set up his coming point about the Suns having small guards, Kenny the Jet Smith said that MONTA ELLIS is a bigger guard who likes to post people up on the block. If you have DVR just rewind it. It was funny because, unless it was a verbal slip on his part, it kind of shows how these guys don't always do all their homework, and even today people don't really KNOW who Monta Ellis -- a future All-Star in this league -- really is. Monta is pretty damn crafty ANYWHERE on the court, and he's not afraid of contact, but he is only 177 pounds and actually small for his positions.
<div class="quote_poster">AlleyOop Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Kenny the Jet just called Monta Ellis a "bigger" guard who likes to post people up on the block...</div> LOL. I think either these guys aren't doing their homework.... or he probably meant Baron but just jacked up on the air and said "Monta Ellis". No way is Ellis even strong enough to play the post. He needs more mass and muscle against other points. He should have been described as a Tony Parker or Leandrinho Barbosa type guy. The game is totally based off quickness with more finesse and innate ability to finish at the rim even with contact or off balance. Ellis is also kind of like Chauncey Billups or Nick Van Exel. He just pulls up and shoots off the dribble and nails that 18 footer so consistently. Or if he's on the move he'll put up a running floater in the lane. The warriors always needed more of a midrange game and I think Ellis has been doing a terrific job. Most rookies shoot very low %'s, but Ellis has been terrific all season long when creating his own offense and shooting off the dribble.
Interesting that Monta doesn't really seem to be taking it to the hole tonight. He's shooting some good midrange jumpers though and knocking them down. I wonder if that's something Nellie talked to him about: people know about his speed now and ability to drive to the hoop quickly, so that creates space and some easy jumper opportunities. Another good sign for Monta tonight: 20 minutes, 1 turnover. Harrington is crap tonight, SJax is red hot. It's like they're two halves of the same balloon. You squeeze the air out of one side and the other side inflates. It's always one or the other of them on any night, almost never both.
Man Baron Davis is playing terrific D in the third. <div class="quote_poster">HiRez Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I Harrington is crap tonight, SJax is red hot. The only benefit is you get a terrific 3 point shooter at a big position and a capable ballhandler to push it up. Just don't ask him to make too many plays. LOL. He might travel again or turn the ball over in some other way. Wow Jrich 7 3pointers!!!
Wow, amazing block on Biedrins by Stoudamire. I really would like to see Andris dunk more of those in instead of flipping them up. The guy is 7 feet tall and can jump, flipping them up at close range might be good for 85%-90% but dunking is close to 100%. In other news, Jason is single-handedly getting me back into the 3-point category for this week in my fantasy league

I think he needs more bulk before he can feel confident going up strong and not get knocked around in midair. BTW if they make a sequel to this movie, it will star Jason Richardson.
Wow, I just got back from some writing panel talk type thing, and I see that the W's up 20. Damn, I knew I should've skipped it, but part of a class requirement.
Jrich = 7 rebounds. Arguably one of the best rebounder for his size/position class like Quentin Richardson or Paul Pierce or Steve Francis.
Jrich just shot another three!!! New Franchise record? He already holds one (a tie) for most consecutive made three pointers in a Warriors uniform. I wonder who made the most ever in one game?
I think the record holder for most threes in a game is Donyell Marshell when he played for Toronto. He made 13 or something. But I think that has been broken too.

We should find a website that has all the facts about a franchise or the entire league (most threes, most rebounds, most blocks in one game, etc.) Maybe basketball-reference.com has it. Actually Donyell and Kobe share most 3's in one game now. http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/TP_game.html
