With McGahee & Henry in the same Backfield, the AFC East tilte should just be handed to Buffalo right now.</div>

    BA,

I hope you weren't serious, cus if you were I think you need your head checked. F the bills they will finish last again and ride frankenstein all the way into the ground.</div>

Yes. I was kidding about who'd win the East; It won't be a team from NY State.

Just making sure BA you had me scared for a minute. My next question was going to be, "Did you suffer any recent head trama?"

Sorry we didn't stick to the topic nflfan next time we will ask everyone to move to the pats or phins forum. I hope we didn't ruin this great topic.

I thought a little sarcasm might not hurt and it would take a bit more than head trauma to make me pick the green weenies. Further, I could go over Niagra Falls sans a barrel several times and still not pick New England lite regardless of who the QB is or who lines up at Tailback.

Given the number of Pats & Phins fans running wild on this forum, there is always a good chance the topic could revolve back to the AFC East.

Maybe one of these days I'll learn that sarcasm doesn't come across well in this type of medium. Truth be told, my posts not as "fun" and much less frequent.

If it were up to me; the minor league (NY) teams in the AFC East would be out of contention by the 2nd week of the season.

I am back. I just couldn't let you continue doing this to yourself and had to try and stop you from a "HUGE" letdown when your boy's (and I use the term loosly) don't make it to the big dance once again. Oh, it's good to be back.[IMG]

I feel pretty good about our chances. The Colts and Pats may be the teams to beat, but we play them both in the regular season. Even if we lose one or both, we will have some good film to study come playoff time.

That Indy game you (4th) like to remind me about was (despite our poor defensive showing) only a seven point difference. We also had some bad karma factors that day:
    1. Priest slips on the corner and misses a sure 1st down
    2. Priest fumbles while fighting for yards.
    3. Gonzalez has a TD called back.
    4. Andersen misses the chip shot FG.
    5. Morten drops 2 first downs in the 2nd half.

Now, I can't issue Johnnie Morten a new pair of hands or stop Father Time from crawling onto Morten Andersens back; but, I can bet Priest won't have such a terrible outing next time we face them. And as far as the 7 point loss - If Gunther isn't good enough for one lousy stop, I'll eat my Chiefs hat. (with a little salt for my crow, of course)

Nothing is guaranteed in this league, but I think our season looks as bright as anyones this year. I think we will have a regular season record of either 10-6 or 11-5 (because of the tougher schedule), will win the division and make the playoffs, and will have a legitimate shot at a championship!
