think of it this way the patriots move to the panthers 42 in OT just 7 yards away from a vinitiari kick, . . . 1st and ten, 1st down incomplete, 2nd down 3 yard run by smith, 3rd down 6 1/2 yard completion 4th down its up and its . . . so you standing up on verge of exploding or what?

Yep adam vinteri will be counted on again, this
time adam actually looks human. Carolina has
nothing to lose, and all the media hyping up the
patroits is really giving them something to feed off.

This is reminding me of the patroits team 2001 when
the hype was on the rams. Patroiots better be ready
this team plays hard, tampa was one team that
found out, if you dont play 60 minutes or longer
you can lose a heart breaker to the carolina.

Eagles can vouge there no joke.

9-6 pats win it all fg's.

There has been plenty of Carolina hype and all that they are the pats of 2001 junk. I can see some of the comparisons I guess but it's not the same game as 2001. We played rams not a defensive powerhouse. They have alot more to deal with than the pats really did. If they compare to any Pats team it is the 85 pats.

Oh the drama. I don't know why you let it get you all worked up Pats. You have the better team. I'm telling you, the media is playing Devil's Advocate for ratings. This should be as lopsided as San Diego vs San Fran in '94. Or at least that's what I think.

Relax man, the Pats are for real and won't lose to Carolina.

I don't doubt my team at all. But I hardly believe it will be a blow out. We haven't blown anyone out this season besides that Pop Warner club (Buffalo) we played the last week of the season.

I do see what your saying about the media pumping it up so it does good on TV and stuff but I honestly think some of these columnists actually believe the crap that comes out of their mouths. EX. Woody Paige. He is by far the biggest Yahoo reporter I have ever seen. He emabrasses himself almost everyday on Around the horn and some of his articles that I have read are possibly the worst ever. He makes me wonder how much work some of these guys actually do or don't do.

    SF,

This is the type of shit I'm talking about that makes me want to just flip out. This is straight from a John Clayton article. He sucks anyway but it still pisses me off.

"Trying to figure a sure-fire formula in the NFL is impossible, but it's safe to say that a good defense gives a team a chance. But neither the Panthers nor the Patriots were dominant this season. The Patriots ranked seventh, the Panthers eighth in total defense. In 2003, there was no dominant defense, so the defensive coaches who managed games the best survived."

How can he say there was no dominent defense in 2003? Is 14 straight wins, 14 points a game average, with 3 shutouts tossed in there not dominent for this season? Just an example of some of the crap out there. I must say I am now dumber from having read this article.

    Pats,

Everyone knows clayton doesnt know jack squat of
football. Cmon lets get real he's a band camp
guy, who was picked on by jocks all his life.
The best thing he could do is kiss a little ass
and join the sports team. This is why salisbery
hammers him every chance he gets. [IMG]

I hear ya. He is just one example of the idiots I'm forced to read when surfing the web. I'm sure you can understand why I get pissed reading that shit. Imagine if last year when you guys were making every offense that got in your way look foolish and someone tried to say there were no dominent defenses this year. I'm sure you would be pissed reading it.

Yeah; They made the Dolphins offense look bad. ha ha. I mean how much help do the phins need especially when you recall who the head coach is but shouldn't be for long. ha ha.

Clayton is a idiot but when compared to Mortensen, Salisbury, & most ESPN talking heads isn't that bad. Hoge & Paul Maguire are the best NFL minds in that network.

It has been said those who can't do teach. Shouldn't it be revised to say go into journalism?

HAHA BA good finish. I'm sure Hoge is a good mind but for whatever reason I don't like the guy and tend to disagree with some of the things he says. I'm not sure I have a reason for not liking him it just he is one of those guys to me. you know for whatever reason when I see him I just automaticly don't like the guy.

Umm, not to be disagreeable, but John Clayton is the freakin' dean of Bristol University....I trust what he says more than any other person at ESPN...
