Indeed, he's the MVP of the game. The New York receivers are really letting Eli down.

This defensive struggle reminds me of the second half of the Giants-Cowboys game.

Tell me the last time Tom Brady got hit this much in a game.

He's taking an ass beating out there.

The New York defense is unreal at this point and has clearly outplayed the Patriots offense. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the 2nd half. This game is going to come down to what team makes the best adjustments.

It's been a great defensive showdown though.

I have to say the refs missed that facemask/pass interference on Toomer... (Yes I had to make a comment on the refs in some way)

EDIT: How is this game boring? If anything it's been electrifying for the Giants. How were you not excited by all the plays Justin Tuck and the defense have made? It's not boring, just frustrating as a Patriots fan.

And then Steve Smith tipped the ball for an interception, the Pats didn't lose anything and were fortunate.

The Giants will have to continue to make defensive adjustments.

So far Belichick has spent every minute of the game trying to get ahead of Spagnuolo and he has not been able to do it.

You need patience with Brandon Jacobs. That's the way he plays. He plods on for the first half and wears defenses down as the game goes on. Both he and Bradshaw do their best work towards the end of the game.

Justin Tuck is seriously going to be the best player on this team in the next couple years. I suspected as much before, but this game has just solidified my opinion. I'm so glad we've got him locked up.

Eli's seemed to have lost his momentum, through no fault of his own. I hope he can get it going in the second half (and the WR's stop dropping easy passes), because you can't beat the Pats without scoring TD's.

    Let's go G-Men!

EDIT: You'd have to be an idiot to consider this game boring. It's been a defensive battle, which is what I love seeing.

Why didn't the Patriots kick? I've seen Stephen kick 48 yarders before if I recall correctly.

The Giants are almost gift wrapping this game, they have to be much smarter.

Are you talking about their first 14 regular season games and the 4 preseason games including the loss to Tampa Bay? [IMG]

According to Joe Buck, Stephen has made a 52 yarder before, and a 50 yarder last year in the post-season.

That was a bad coaching move.

Good defense by Giants, but eventually they'll need to score. Better make sure Patriots don't do it first.

I don't think it was a bad coaching move. It's the Super Bowl and Gostowski is a 2nd year player. He hasn't been very good in the playoffs with field goals in his 2 years here. Your odds are the same going for a pass or kicking a field goal. If you miss the field goal your still giving up the field position. It was too short of a distance to punt as well.

If anything it was a horrendous throw by Brady.
