I just wanted to see who surported who in the league? But there are only 10 options so basicly 9 and any others.

 

I did this thread because I wondered if anyone on these forums surported anyone below the top 5 or 6?

 

Why is Portsmouth called Pompey?

 

Its a shortened name for them just like Spurs is with Tottenham.

 

I looked it up on wikipedia and Pompey has something to do with the government in Portsmouth, but they didn't actually explain what it means.

I know Spurs is shortened from Tottenham Hotspur, I know Gunners comes from Arsenal's cannon crest, I know Red Devils is from Man U's crest, and various others make sense. I just don't get the connection with Pompey.

 

Man Utd here, but I also like Fulham, since their tickets are cheap
