I did, its in the quote... I said both. Okay.... All i'm saying is you are duplicating threads that are already there and that can bog down the site for those of us that struggle to keep up with all the new threads as it is. The thread is right there next to yours and game threads rarely go away from the top until after the game is over. I'm just saying, maybe look around a bit first before posting a second game thread. Take that however you like. I don't need to run home, I don't need to kick the dog and I don't yell at the wife. I feel better than fine already. I'm just making a note and hoping you understand... Thanks for understanding.
This might help... http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/ga...4-00-pm-pst-nbcsnw.328821/page-2#post-4409368 Hard to miss the game threads....
Could you be more vague? No, I guess not. And you still haven't identified me as the person you're talking to although it appears that you are talking to me. Oh, you mean the preface that says gamethread. I thought that was for anyone talking about the latest game. Geez, how was I to know it's reserved for the first to grab it. The Off Topic preface is not reserved for one person or one thread, I certainly had no idea it was for a single thread only.
Of course he's talking to you: You're the one who started this thread, aren't you? How could he possibly be talking to anyone else? BNM
Well consider this... if someone else around here would have seen this, you would have gotten a serious rookie hazing. All good.
I've been hazed before. However, now I consider myself a little old to be hazed. Not too old to learn, though.
Well I personally think hazing should be left in jr high, but...I'm in the minority around here. Never too old to learn though. Stop learning, stop living.
Actually, I don't think starting a thread when you are excited about the way the team is playing is a problem at all. I think the confusion comes from tagging it as a Game Thread. We traditionally have one Game Thread per game (and on the rare occasion where HCP tries to start a bogus one, it gets merged with the real Game Thread). We also often have a post game Dance Party thread to celebrate after a big win, but it's not labeled as a Game Thread. So, I don't think @Lanny starting this thread was a problem. I just think tagging it as a Game Thread may have caused some confusion among some of the regulars who are accustomed to seeing one official Game Thread per game. Not really a big deal, just FYI. BNM
Unfortunately (for you), your "vote" is but one of many... I personally don't care one way or the other, I just don't want to see @Lanny discouraged from posting because of a little bit of controversy about creating this thread. It's nice to see him here. He's obviously a real, long time Blazers fan and I welcome his contributions. BNM
Exactly why I brought it up. Some here cans be much harsher. Tried to get it over with easier, gentler and quicker. I personally don't care one way or the other either. IF this is controversy, id love to hear the definition of some of the past mentions to other new people around here and what that was, lol.
Hey Lanny! As a fellow O-Liver let me try and clear this up for you. This isn't like the O-Live forum where you just open the page and start talking in a new spot. Doing so on O-Live is fine but here it starts a new thread every time you post. The less amount of posts about the same subject the more organized the board is and then there isn't two or three conversations about the same exact subject. While it is a little more difficult to just come in and start talking I kind of agree with those that want to keep the clutter to a minimum. So I think what Orion (and HCP if he wasn't AWOL after the Thunder game) is saying is if you want to make a post like this why not just click on the game thread for the Thunder game and post the exact same message in there along with all the rest of us who were going crazy after the big win. I look at it this way: We were all having a big party and celebrating and your post was the equivalent of starting a new party across the street instead of just joining ours, if that makes sense. However, if the Blazers win I just want to party so I don't really care who's house it's at or how many there are. That being said, I know you are an OG Blazer fan and can do whatever you want. Knowing you are still around is awesome, especially after some bad scares throughout the years. I hope you don't take this post the wrong way, you just seemed a little confused so I thought it might make sense coming from someone who has been chatting about our Blazers with you for almost two decades.
