I'd try Crabbe and Davis for Dieng and Pekovic contract.

Hey, I edited a word and it messed up the formatting. Not sure how to fix it.

The hope for a Meyers dumping: Miles Plumlee was traded by Milwaukee to Charlotte for Spencer Hawes and Roy Hibbert (two essentially expiring contracts). Plumlee had just signed a 4 yr, 50 mil deal this past summer. This is a dude that regularly gets DNP CDs

Meyers is a better player when he has his head on straight and is owed $8 mil less over the next three years of his contract. I don't think there's any need to attach picks to dump him.

When the Bulls finish blowing this 2-0 lead they had and get sent out of the playoffs in the first round then I expect they look to rebuild. Not saying we are getting Butler necessarily but I believe he will be available to the highest bidder. Obviously you go at it hard to see if you can get him.

Would you trade CJ for him?

Yup. He's on a reasonable contract for two more seasons.

Butler is one of the few players that I would. Yes. Not an easy decision but probably.

With that said, I can't see POR doing it. They are going to offer all 3 picks plus a combination of any players on the roster beyond the big 3.

Not going to get it done probably but, then again, if they are rebuilding they may not want CJ's big contract.

The problem with this is it doesn't do us any good, and in fact is a net negative because we lose a draft pick. Shedding Meyers' contract does NOTHING for us unless we first lose AT LEAST one of Crabbe/Tuner. If we can move Crabbe/Turner, plus someone like Davis/Aminu/Harkless, only then does shedding Meyers' contract start to make sense.

Shedding Meyer's contract has a lot of benefit regardless. We are over the tax line, so Paul is essentially paying double Meyer's contract to have him on the team.

Not to mention, I think the relationship is starting to break down (based on several comments in the exit interviews from CJ, Meyers, Stotts, & NeO). I think it would be in everyone's best interest to let Meyers have a fresh start at a new location.

    In a heart beat!

I agree; we will eventually get rid of him, even if we have to wait for another year or two to come off his contract.

    I'm writing three more articles:

    1. The first will be a deeper insight of the exit interviews
2.) The second article will be about draft prospects should we keep our picks
3.) The third will be about veterans or other players we can trade for to make the team better, if we decide to trade the picks.
