we need more swish3s for sho i really like the idea that winning is as simple as 12-15 swish3 per game. more hard p1ck n r0ll$ would be good, as well as some more effort on D3F3NC3
Swish3 has become a part of SportsTwo lore. It has quickly risen to legendary levels and taken its place alongside HCPs wife and above the classic Summertime S2 Blazer Rapoff of 2015.
Who shoots the swish3s today is an important point that was not yet prominent in this thread. Who should take the shots to make the 12 or more swish3s: CJ Dame Allen Chief Brian Who should not attempt any swish3s Mo Noah Mason, Ed, and Cliff do not (and should not) try swish3s either. With Blazers good passing and screening to open the shots, the number of swish3 attempts can be about 32, and could be less.
Schilly's strategy for the playoffs is to watch the games I can and DVR the ones I can't... Probably gnosh on some chips and salsa and plenty of water. Probably play my guitar with headphones since everyone else will be asleep. Then go to bed way too late and get up way too early, then because I am tired I will stop at Taco Bell for a Breakfast Crunchwrap and a Coke because their coffee is terrible. Once I am at work I will make a pot of better coffee drink a few cups throughout the day and sleepwalk around through it.
Congratulations to Dame for the 827 swish3s made in 4 years! The 11 swish3s in the Nuggets game helped secure the win. And the better defense in the 2nd half was much needed. For the playoff games, both will be important. The Blazers that need to abstain from taking swish3 shots are Vonleh, Harkless, Connaughton, and Montero. Let the better swish3 shooters take those shots please. Made swish3s can be a major factor in the Blazers beating the Clippers in this playoff series.
lol. connaughton and montero aren't playing unless we're getting blown out or they are getting blown out. And are swish3s worth more than 3's?
swish3s are worth 3, unless there is the and 1, which makes for great offense! Yes, let's hope that we don't see much of Connaughton or Montero in the playoff series, but if they are in they should not attempt swish3s.
I've been studying Golden State and they've started to implement this innovative strategy. I'd like to see us use it a bit during the playoffs.
So actually it doesn't really matter who shoots the Swish3s as long as they are actually Swish3s right. I mean what we don't want is players shooting brick3s right. I don't care who shoots em as long as the result is Swish3.

The rule for swish3 shooting should be that only Blazers who averaged over 30% for the season should take any swish3 shots. That means that there are none in the playoffs to be taken by Vonleh or Harkless. If the Nuggets game swish3 shots taken by Vonleh, Harkless, Connaughton, and Montero were redistributed among Lillard, McCollum, Crabbe, and Aminu, there would have been an additional 6 points that, while not needed in that game, may be critical against the Clippers. Notice that the winning strategy of the Warriors has included 886 Steph and 650 Klay swish3 attempts this season. That is an average of 18.7 swish3 attempts per game. If Dame and CJ each increased their attempts to more than 9 each per game, the increased points scored can be enough to beat the Clippers and give the Warriors a good run in the next round. This strategy will also depend on swish3s scoring from Allen and Chief, who will be important factors. For the 12 Blazer swish3s I imagine Dame and CJ to get 4 each and Allen and Chief to get 3 each in the wins. If the Blazers can bring the energetic defense, strong screening, accurate assist team that has been effective in the 2nd half of the season to the playoffs, these can be wins.
