<div class="quote_poster">Quoting '[KBC:</div><div class="quote_post">']KG and TD both need to get injured and you had better hope that LeBron, Shaq, Melo and Wade don't get any better (ha, yeah right).

I do hope he does better and plays less selfishly now that he has some quality players.</div>
I really doubt Lebron, Wade, and Melo will play at a mvp level during their second year in the nba.

Tmac can play better than TD and KG, and he will during the next season.

Talk about being confident. What makes you think T-Mac will have a better season than KG and TD. Their teams are both better than the Rockets team., and they've been doing this in the West for a while now. This is T-Mac's first year in the West, his PPG will drop to around 25-24 because of Van Gundys shoot when there's 2 seconds left on the shotclock system, and of course the improving Yao is there. Duncan and KG will average around 22-25 PPG and grab around 12, 13 RPG. Their FG% will be higher than T-Macs and they'll be more efficient. They are also leaders on their respectful teams. Their value as MVP's are higher than T-Macs value as and MVP for the Rockets, and will most likely be the case next year. There's also a guy in Miami that's pretty darn good.

With a guy like Tracy, you can never completley count the MVP award out.But will I think he will win it,no.

This is Yao's team,Tracys stats will likely drop some because of the fact that he will be the second option, this doesnt mean he cant play at MVP status but he will have to average high APG for it to happen.

Exactly. And remember that KG didn't get his first MVP until Cassell and Spree came aboard. I still don't think it will actually happen, but he will be in the running.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chuck:</div><div class="quote_post">MVP? Not a chance. Not this year, at least... T-Mac hasn't matured enough yet.</div>
This is coming from a "pissed off" Orlando Magic fan. Tmac is just as mature as the other great players in the league.

I disagree,Tracy has amde lots of comment that are very immature, such as the 2002-2003 playoffs when he said it feels good to be in the second round when the Magic were up 3-1 in the series..if you dont know the Magic were eliminated.

Then, this year he made comments abbout Melo deserving roy when the season wasnt even over(keep in mind that Bron let up the Magic on X-Mas day).He also made the comment saying that some percentage of players are gay,Tracy just loves to run his mouth, and that is immature to a certain extent.

Ok, that was overconfidence. I'm sure he learned his mistake.

I don't see anything wrong with either of these things. People make statements on who they think deserves end of season awards during the season all the time. And there were plenty of people at the end of the year who thought Carmelo deserved it also.

And what's wrong with him saying that he thinks a certain percentage of players are gay? Did he say it in a manner was homophobic or something?

I don't know so much about his maturity as I haven't followed his career off the court that closely. But I do know he is an MVP-caliber player on the court. If the Allen Iverson can win an MVP, so can Tmac.

Well thats imaturatity IMO,your not supposed to open you mouth until you get the job done, you would probally feel pretty stupid making coments you dont back up.

Also I said its immature to a certain extent, but I just think its immature how he is always making arrogant/immature comments.Like if you were Bron and you hear players saying Melo deserves ROY before the season is even over then you wouldnt be liking it,that comment T-Mac said was very biased.

The point im trying to make is he is immature by making certain comments, then turning around and not even backing them up in the end.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If the Allen Iverson can win an MVP, so can Tmac.</div>That didnt really make any sense. When Allen Iverson won MVP,he was the leading scorer and leading theif, the Sixers also had the best team in the Eastern confrence and proved that by going to the Finals, now Tracy Mcgrady has never even made it out of the first round,so there is really no argument ot that statment.

Silky Smooth, how can you say Tmac is a immature player when your favorite player is AI.

I'm not really thinking about T-Mac actually winning MVP. I don't know if he ever will. He can be in the running. I would be completely shocked if this team places at the 2nd seed in the west or something. That's the only way T-Mac could win MVP. He may be the 2nd option. But he still will lead the Rockets in scoring, no doubt about that. He may even lead them in assist as well just like he did with the Magic last season.
