<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post"> I think the Rockets playoff hopes could be out the door during these next two weeks. The Western Conference is too, competitive this year for the Rockets to surge back and secure a playoff seed. They weren't exactly dominating even with Yao & TMac both healthy.</div> With Yao and McGrady both healthy, I really believe we'd be a top 4 team in the West. We were something like 8-4 with both playing, and that doesn't take into account the games where McGrady and Yao were rusty due to not being at full strength. But I think our playoff hopes this season is pretty much done. I'd prefer we miss the playoffs and get a good draft pick (and let our stars heal) rather than make a push for an 8th seed and get dropped in the first round.

I agree though, the playoff picture is looking grimm for the Rockets. Depending how the team fairs during the next two weeks without their two superstars will decide their fate.
Didn't McGrady get surgey during his last season in Orlando too? He had a full summer of rest that year and now just less than two seasons after, the problem surfaces again? How durable can he be if he does get surgery this time? I do agree in that shutting him down for this season now couldn't hurt the team any more than it already is. With TMac out, it would give Yao some much-needed experience about being the man and also let the other guys adapt to being more than the fourth or fifth option on the floor. Getting a high draft pick also wouldn't be a bad idea, seeing how the team does have holes and it's a given that there's no chances of winning a championship this season. Getting into the lottery can solve all those problems.
i wanted t-mac to come back but thinking about it he should just rest up for the rest of the season, the rockets will only miss the playoffs for this year and in the off season draft a good player so the next season mcgrady will probably be 100% and everybody else will be 100% and next year they will make the playoffs for sure
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting rookie789:</div><div class="quote_post">watch when t-mac comes back hes gonna drop 50 and get a win for the rockets, and for the next few games after he comes back the rockets will have a big winning streak, cuz he's a warrior like that</div> t-mac dropped 35 and won it for the rockets, lol what did i say man, watch now theres gonna be a winning streak for them
