<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Love It Live:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah right! Just a month ago, he was saying how he is the only good player on his team and such. Read the new Kickz issue. To act like that, and get captain is obsurd!</div>

Not really, who's their alternative? Making a vet like Juwan captain would be unacceptable. It's his first year in Orlando, and besides, you've got to keep your franchise player happy.

However I agree. When I read that issue I wanted to knock TMac off of his high-horse. The kid even (indirectly) insulted Patrick Ewing!!

KICKS: "You had Patrick for a year."
TMac: "Yeah, Pat came in...Man I'ma shut up cuz I might say some ish."

Cocky mofo, don't insult a legend.

Exactly. One can't bash his palying skills, but his attitude is another thing. He needs to learn that behaving like this, will not get him to be liked around the league.

However, he is still young and has time to learn. Let's hope he does.

i think it's a good idea...having the letter C on your jersey would put you in the position to lead the team...and personally, we've seen T-Mac do that...

Lead the team on the court, yes. But a big part of it is being a positive person off the court, when he is putting down legends, and fellow players, that isn't right.

Plus, who needs the letter on the jersey, his teammates would know of him being a leader and captain if he shows it. They do not need to be reminded of it, that is, if he does his job.

but a letter C on your jersey will put more pressure on you...positively of course...you'll be pressured to do your best every night...because you know everyone's watching...kinda like winning the regular season MVP trophy...it puts pressure on you to prove that you're no fluke by winning the championship trophy...

*ahem* Bringing back an old thread, but it looks like King James was right. I was watching a tape I just recently bought and the 1994-1996 Pacers had Reggie Miller wear a "C" that stood for captain. The eigth seed Nuggets that upset the Sonics had someone wear a "C" on their jersey. I'm sure there were more teams through more years, but those are the ones I noticed.

^^ Hopefully that's a good sign. All those teams you mentioned past the 1st round! Hopefully the Magic can pass the 1st round this year.
