holy ****. I feel so sorry for T-Mac, and I never have that **** in my life. 10 seasons without any playoff wins. Even KG advanced for the first in his 9th season.

He's a 7'6 center that plays like he's 5'6. Can't jump, bad reflexes, you name it. Zero athleticism. The only great thing about Yao is that he's 7'6 with a good touch from short-mid-range and from the free throw line. Other than that, he's useless. He's lost 100% of the time on defense. How many times did Boozer go around Yao and dunk on him? 10 times maybe? Of course, most of Yao's flaws lie in his physical limitations. Short arms, zero lift off the ground (he constantly loses on tipoffs despite his height). I'd rather bet on the potential of Oden than keep Yao. Remember, even though T-Mac hasn't been out of the first round in his 6 attempts (I think), Yao has also got knocked out of the first round in his 3 attempts.

Where are all those voices that were critizing him for going into the NBA straight out of high school? All I see are jaws being picked up from the ground and excuses along the lines of but....but...but.... Oden will dominate in the NBA, hands down.
I do think that LeBron is a once-in-a-lifetime type player to draft, but Oden's a big man. Even if he doesn't become a hall of famer, having a good big man that plays like a big man would be nice.

You don't trade a player like him at this point, unless you are getting several quality players in return. Oden is most likely going to take several years to develop offensively, if he ever does, and with Tracy hitting age 29 now? How much time does he have left?
Tmac gets all the blame because he is the star of the team, and HE PUT IT ON HIMSELF. Don't get me wrong, im one of his biggest fans, my favorite player and all, but if you say its on me, then you better do something when its game 7 4 minutes left and your season is on the line. He gets the blame because he put it on himself, and he DID NOT play like T-mac.....this whole season was a disappointment. He has to stop passing the ball and be a scorer like Kobe. He has the ability to put up around 30 a night every night and we have seen that before. He is most effective that way, not when hes passing. If he establishes him self as a scorer again, THATS when you give Yao a few touches, but you still make sure he gets a bunch of shots up and the offense runs through him. Stop facilitating the team and start attacking the basket and scoring like he used to and he could be 2nd best in the NBA maybe behind Kobe, and maybe even better. He has alot of potential, but hes gotta understand that when he passes hes less of a threat.
<div class="quote_poster">Blur Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Why does Mcgrady get all the blame? Last time I checked Yao was an all star as well? I know T-Mac said it was "on him" but basketball is a team sport, and frankly the Rockets just didn't have a good enough team to beat Utah.</div> Obviously you don't know what you're talking about. 1. The only reason Yao has been an all-star every year is because all Asian-Americans vote for him, its a fact. 2. Yao is good, but he isn't that good. T-mac is the better player by far, the best player on the Rockets by far. 3. Rockets are a much better team then Utah, if T-Mac gets his priorities straight. That's what this whole arguement is about. T-Mac is a superstart, and by far the best player in the series, and that's what gives his team the edge, his superstar presence, but he didn't play the way he should have, and that's why they lost, not because of Yao, not because the Jazz were better. And unlike baseball and football, in basketball, one player really can totally change the game and take over. If one guy has a breakout night, then his team can win, and T-Mac had no games like that whatsoever, especially Game 7, when he knew the season was on the line. 29 points and 13 assists is great, but stats aren't anything. What did he do in the last 4 minutes? Would he have been better off if he drove in? I have no doubt in my mind that it was his fault. As much as I love T-Mac, I gotta say the truth. If the Jazz were in the penalty from 7:30 in the 4th quarter, and you have the ability to drive in like Tracy Mcgrady, why the hell are you settling for passing the ball into a not so good post player in Yao Ming. T-Mac is still my favorite player, I love T-Mac, but if he keeps playing like this he's going no where.

But they shoudl of won thats all i wanna say.
T-mac can be unstopable when he whants to be even tracy himself has said that when he is angry he is way more aggresive on the offensive end. houston should run the offense threw T-mac and stop focusing so much on yao.

He was averageing 27 and 12.

Name two centers who deserve an all star spot over him in the western conference.... Asian people don't vote for all NBA teams either, which Yao made. 2. The Rockets are not a far better team than Utah, if they were they would have won the series before it even reached a seventh game. The Jazz have depth at all positions something the Rockets do not. Having Rafer Alston as your lead point guard is not going to get you far. Basketball is a team sport, one guy can make somewhat of a differance, but not win a championship. If they could guys like Kobe, Mcgrady, KG, etc. would be gong deep into the playoffs every year, instead of barely making them or missing them completely. Obviously you don't know what your talking about...
1. I didn't say asians voted for T-Mac, they voted for Yao. And thats why hes a STARTER. I know he's good enough to be a reserve, but not a starter. 2. Rockets ARE a way better team then Utah. When you have a super-star like Tracy Mcgrady then your team doesn't need depth. Houston was obviously the better team because they had more regular season wins, and thats a fact. IMO they have a lot more talent in T-Mac and Yao. They have some good role players like luther head off the bench and Shane Battier, so I will stick to my comment that the Rockets are a way better team. 3. T-Mac is BY FAR better then Yao Ming. Yao may be great one day, but he is not as good as T-Mac. He is way better. T-Mac can do much more than Yao, he is more versatile, and he can impact a game much more than Yao can. If you take Yao out of Houston for a season, T-Mac could still keep em around. If T-Mac was pulled out the team for a season, and it was just Yao, Houston would be unheard of.
Since when did you have to be good to be a starter in the ASG? Shaq made it as a starter this year despite missing most of the first half of the season. Blame the Asians for that too? It's a popularity contest who starts, don't single Yao out just because he wins them. Him starting over Amare wouldn't have been as much a travesty as Shaq over Howard anyways, as he was playing at a MVP-level before his injury. It's simply ridiculous that some of you are saying that Yao is "not that good". A 7-6 guy playing like he's 5-6 I'll still take if it means he can still get me 23 and 10 a night. Besides, how would he play like he's 5'6". Since when did Nate Robinson post people up and take hook shots? Yao plays like he's 7-6, pure and simple. Just because he gets his two points not by dunking over people but rather from hook shots and fadeaways doesn't make him any less capable. In fact, it only makes him more capable. The end justifies the means, no matter what route you take to get the two points.

A simple typo, but all the fact remain true. 2. Obviously your team does need depth with a star like Tracy, because none of his teams have ever advanced past the first round of the playoffs. 3. Why are you turning this into a Yao Vs. Mcgrady thing. I didn't mention anything about Yao being better than Mcgrady. Your trying to say Yao is not good at all when he in fact is. Before he got hurt he was an early season MVP candidate, he averages a double double. People saying he is not good, have the ludicrous mind set that if your 7'6" you need to average 40 and 20 to be good. I would say more but Locke pretty much wrapped everything up in his last post.
2. Rockets ARE a way better team then Utah. Haha. Thats why they lost game 7 at home. There are a way better team. No, Utah is more disciplined, they run their offense better, and if you think about it. PG- D. Williams >>> R. Alston PF/C- Boozer> Yao Utah's Bench > Houston's bench Utah's Coach> Houstons coach And with guys like Okur, Fisher, and Harpring I think Utah is much better than Houston.
