Come on fellas while the wounds are still fresh it is time for all the people who suggested that we deal LA before he left for nothing a chance to shine. Vindication is ours and all it took was a little common sense and some cultural knowledge that elite black althetes do not want to live in a town full of white hipsters, eat out of food carts, pay high state income taxes and drink microbrew.

Portland would be a tremendous place for a professional hockey team to come.

LA we will miss you, but most of all we will miss out on the opportunity you presented to net us Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson. We will also miss all those potential first round picks we squandered as Batum watched his value plummet, Matthews end up with a career threatening injury and lose all his trade value and Rolo to forget how to play offense and regress back to the same old player he was in Pheonix.

Oh well everyone lets get this over with if you were on the trade LA side take a bow and your round of polite golf claps. The rest of you accept you plateful of crow and ridicule then let's hug it out go drink some hefe get some fire on the mountain wings and drink tequila all night and celebrate being American.

    Happy 4th everyone.

You and I agree on this. Very smug and arrogant the whole time. Not to mention a liar.

In the end, his plan A bombed and I wouldn't give him the chance to execute plan B.

For the record, I've advocated dealing LMA for a top-5 pick since 2011.

    And here we are....

$30m in cap in one of the most undesirable markets in the NBA.

it's hard to be happy about anything about this situation right now. Historical footnote---moving on.

Besides, the biggest flamers about it aren't around. What am supposed to do, rub salt in Mags' and Wookee's wounds because their favorite player left them too?

No I hated his ineffective love for long range jumpers and inability to adapt to the modern NBA and shoot from 1 step back where his 35% shooting would have been useful. I hated his flat out refusal to play center or bang in the post even though it was where he was most effective. I hated that he averaged like 5 FTA's a game when he should have shot 10.
I also hated knowing that he would leave and we would get nothing for him.

P.S. I also hated his terrible team defense.

It's not hard to be happy weed is legal, it's the 4th of July so blowing shit up and playing with fire is cool, it's sunny and there is lots of booze to be drank. Plus we could be the Sonics and not have a team so there is all that to be happy about.

It's the 4th of July, I'm in Kabul, the only shit blowing up here is dangerous to my health and I've only had water and coffee in the last 3 months. I'm glad you're enjoying it, though. Have one for me (the booze, not the weed)

I have noticed a bunch of new accounts in the last week.

Sorry, but really? People would actually create a new account than just say they had it wrong? Geez. I thought LMA would come back, but I was wrong. Big deal. We ALL wanted him back. Well bout 98% of us.
Sounds pretty juvenile to me if that's serious and somewhat annoying to, because for a person who isn't here 24/7 keeping up enough to comment on everything, I will feel like I NEVER really get to know anyone , if people just create new accounts.
