You can't just decide to lose. Especially if Dame is healthy. It just won't ever be bad enough to make tanking worthwhile unless he gets hurt seriously (see Steph Curry). They wouldn't have signed Melo if they were giving up. Stotts for all his faults won't ever give up.
Sure you can. Just like Popovich did in 97. This team is horrible right now. We need to restrict Dame’s minutes to protect him from himself. There won’t be enough time left when Zach and Nurk get back so limit them as well.
At this point it would almost be better to think we WERE tanking. It's just depressing if this is what we look like when we're trying to win
If you want to tank when you’re 3 games out of the playoffs, I don’t understand why you even watch to begin with. Tanking is shameful and idiotic. Who cares if you win a championship when you had to purposely throw games to get the roster to do so? That’s more worthless than KD’s rings. cheating your own fans out of their money for an artificial chance at a ring... does it get more pathetic?
So you figure because they waived Pau and now have another roster spot they can fill that they should tank? I am extrapolating here a bit i realize that.
I don't think we really have to try to tank, we suck as is with the generally lousy new players and injuries. Yeah we should not overplay Dame and CJ and make sure they get reasonable minutes but not too many, and then Ant and Nas should get as many minutes as they can handle, and do NOT bring Nurk back too soon and really screw things up. Do that and "tank" will take care of itself IMO
