They're giving me money to keep me from caring if they screw us all over in the long run. When the Democrats sweep into office and take over they'll screw me to make up for fixing what the Republicans made worse.

It is just a repeat of every other decade.

The other calculator said $5500 back for me. This one said:
(Between $6,410 and $7,740 for most households like these in 2018.)

    :dunno:

But I repeat what I said above and what Nic said. I call shenanigans on #1, though...we went from ~11T in debt to ~20T in debt over the last 8 years, and it's not b/c Uncle Sam put $6k or so back in my pockets.

What this looks to me like, is hurting people in high-tax states for the benefit of corporations and letting people keep their inheritances. Those states tend to be Blue states (OR, CA, NY, NJ, IL).

And as for "cutting Medicare", Medicare has been overrunning by about 800B a year over the last decade or so. Now they'll just overrun by 825B.

Because you know, those old people should die since their program isn't fiscally sound. GTFO... But you'll advocate giving billions away to millionaires while cutting this program?

You'll also think you have your priorities straight while advocating this?

You're not reading what I wrote above and putting something on me I didn't say.
I'm advocating that since the government has proven to be so jacked up with spending money (or not collecting enough to cover what they spend), maybe we should go away from the government spending (and collecting) so much of our money?

And who gives a fuck about who gets screwed or who dies because whatever program is cut?

Medicare has been running at a 6% overhead.

You know, maybe you're right. Maybe we shouldn't spend a fucking dime on Medicare Advantage that has a 14% overhead? That's what's running Medicare into the ground, corporations fleecing the FUCK out of us.

    Repubs be like:

No, let's give them more money while cutting kids and old folks healthcare. That'll fix our spending problem. Giving millionaires $194,000 a year really means that the republican-controlled government has its priorities straight!!

Ivanka Trump said today that she plans on traveling around the nation in April to see how happy everyone is because the majority of Americans will only have to fill their taxes on a postcard.

    I shit you not.

Here's the deal - the GOP cuts taxes, gives a short-term shot to the economy, but it also drives up the deficit and leads to a recession. So then the real ones who know how to run an economy -- the Dems -- come to power and clean up the mess.

Bill Clinton fixed 2nd term Reagan's mess and Obama did it for Bush II after he drove the economy into a ditch.

How the Republicans ever got branded as fiscal conservatives or the party that knows how to run the economy is beyond me. It's a joke.

ESPECIALLY after their party caused the last recession with tax breaks. It's like there's some fake news organization that's fooling people on their side.

The jackasses should be tormented by the media on the same level that Trump gets.
