Does the US Senate determine the financial condition of their county government, or their property tax? And if so, is O'Connell better for those things than Castle? barfo
Sorry for the inside reference, it wasn't intentionally vague. I was referring to Chris Coons, her opponent. He currently runs New Castle County (the northernmost and most populous county in DE and the part that is a suburb of Philly and includes Wilimington).
I don't think he fooled... perhaps people had unrealistic expectations... and you can't fault Obama for that. He inherited a mess... and if people thought he could snap his fingers and it would go away... well that is on them.
LOL. Yeah, he didn't try to encourage those expectations... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbbIQFcEhcQ
Still waiting for the oceans to stop rising and the planet to heal? He could have dampened expectations, instead he encouraged them. Now he's being hoisted on his own petard. Delicious.
If you say so. My take would be (a) it's the closing of a nomination acceptance speech. Of course it is going to be upbeat. And (b), he didn't promise that things would happen instantly. In fact he said the opposite, as I quoted. Now, if you want to blame him for people who can't understand English, that's ok I guess. There are some things he listed that he hasn't made much of any progress on, like climate change. But there are also some where there has been progress. barfo
I care much more about her policies than her private views years ago. BTW, if she were elected to the Senate, I'm pretty sure her opinion of whether or not you pleasure yourself she doesn't see as in her purview. Chris Coons is much more interested in regulating your private life than is Christine O'Donnell.
His strategy must be to make things much worse before they begin to get better, because everything he's focused on has gotten worse, less effective and more expensive. Jimmy Carter must be the most relieved man in America. He no longer has to carry the title of "Worst Living President".
Well, I'm not in that district. But did Coons say that the government needs to monitor every pregnancy to be sure the woman carries to term? I mean, that's pretty regulating, isn't it? Telling a girl whose father raped her that she must be forced to give birth? If Coons said that he gets my equal contempt.
Really? Things have gotten worse? Did you forget already how bad things were? Lets see... stock marget crashed... banks were not lending money... massive unemployment... housing was dropping like a rock... no one could sell one... banks were dropping like flies... major companies were going bankrupt... Iraq was a neverending mess... and so many people thought we were circling the drain that you could not even buy any ammo at a gun store... and you believe that none of that has gotten better?
I have brought together Blazer Prophet and Minstrel. As your guru, you will carry me around on my flying carpet. Blazer Prophet and Minstrel, I will now issue my orders to start the revolution. First we take Berlin, then we take Manhattan. You provide the '66 VW Omni-Bus to get us there. (Yes, it was called an Omni-Bus, not a minivan. I was in them plenty.) Having unified Blazer Prophet and Minstrel into a common cause, I have sublimated myself into the highest dimension of the universe, that which unifies all lower dimensions. As Christine O'Donnell would say, don't it feel good !
That chick is awesome. She is crazy and still kind of hot, when she was younger she was really hot. The fact that she talked openly about not pleasuring yourself means to me that she most likely to do anything you wanted in private. I wonder if Bill Maher is kicking himself for all the times he had her on his show in the past. He gave her attention and now she wants more HAHAHAHAHA
Yes, it's gotten worse. The stock market is still in the crapper, banks still aren't lending money, unemployment is higher, housing values and transaction volume have declined even further, bank failures are higher now, major companies continue to go bankrupt, Iraq turned around under Bush (thanks to the surge which Obama opposed) and ammo is still in short supply because people think Obama is going to use the EPA to ban lead ammunition. It's not a matter of belief that things haven't gotten better, it's a set of statistically varifiable facts.
Stock market shortly after Obama took office was at 6.5K... I think it is somewhere around 10.5 now. I refinanced my house(s) twice in the past two years. Last statistics I remember about corp bankruptcies saw in spring but they were down like 75% from the previous year. Obama has NOTHING to do with a petition from environmentalist seaking to ban lead ammo... with I believe the EPA has already denied anyway. In my opinion Iraq was an extremely ill advised waste of money and resources that could have been much better spend right here. We already know the reason we got involved in the first place was flat out wrong... there were no weapons of mass descruction... there were no terrorists there until we showed up.
People wanted change, and are disappointed because the Senate and House have so far prevented any real change from taking place. At this point many Democrats would prefer our lawmakers (bribe-takers) from both parties to all go away and let The President do what he promised without them f'ing it up. As for O'Donnell, her hateful positions and dark character eclipse her baggage. Unfit for public service.
