I thought about that Prod but then I thought about this. What line is better together.

    Hagelin-Miller-Duclair

    Hagelin-Miller-Callahan

To me, the speed on the first line is insane and it's also cheap money wise.

I see Cally being moved. Hate to say it but that is what makes more sense.

They should not rush the kid. Not a fan of junior to nhl. Especially if he is undersized.

Ok, then two more years before he's ready, he needs to grow physically a little more and get a little AHL time. Like Al said, no need to rush him.

The Rangers are not dealing their captain in season unless we out of it OR get some crazy over the top return. Just not happening.

Could they let him walk? Could they deal his rights in July before FA starts?

Both possible (still more likely to me they re-sign him). But they are not dealing him in season if we are still in the playoffs. Won't happen unless we get crazy bowled over OR we have another deal already locked in to replace his role in the top 6 or 9 (and this one is VERY VERY VERY unlikely since I just don't see them dealing their captain in season when in the playoff hunt).

I disagree. Duclair was a consensus top 10 pick going into his draft year. He was injured and had some fitness concerns. He reportedly dedicated himself to a whole new level of fitness. Face it. The Rangers stole a top 5 player in that draft. We don't want to believe that because it's the Rangers and that almost never happens. However, with improved scouting here it does more often. If the draft happened again with Kreider, he would have gone top 7. If it happened with Sauer before he got hurt, he would have gone top 10. Sauer was freakin awesome before he got hurt. I thought he was close to what McDonagh was now.

The Rangers flat out stole Duclair. I have no doubt there are tons of scouts that are swearing up a storm they didn't take him in the second round.

Edmonton will need young 4th liners going forward, deal Fast who may be expendable now, for Hemsky.

No. Hemsky could be had for whale turds. You could give up Boyle and a 5th and get Hemsky.

Or just trade them a St.Croix and a 4th. Nobody wants Boyle who's a UFA, they'd want a decent prospect.

Yeah, a contender would probably want Boyle because he's good in the playoffs. A 5th and perhaps somebody like St. Croix or Fogarty might do it.

Yeah, but the forward the Rangers would be getting would probably be from a bottom feeder who just wants pieces for the future. I'd keep Fogarty, I think he's going to be solid.
