ESPN To Air : Telfair vs Washington ESPN 2 will air Sebastian Telfair vs. Darius Washington on December 11th at 7 PM. These guys are both top PGs in the 2004 class. Washington headed to Memphis. Telfair headed to Lousville. Both are big time NBA prospects. They had a heated battle at ABCD camp 2 years ago that everyone was talking about and had a HS game last year. http://www.nypost.com/sports/42569.htm
The game in Orlando? I know they played last year too and though I didn't see the game, as I recall they played to a draw (but i can't remember exactly, I might be wrong).
ESPN's done hyping & exploiting Lebron James, so theyre gonna go exploit the NEXT highschool kid. ESPN= a JOKE

Lebron is gone, is Sebastion next? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">At 18, Sebastian Telfair is no stranger to attention. A Texas newspaper wrote a nearly 3,000-word story on the Brooklyn, N.Y., point guard while he was in middle school. Slam magazine featured the Lincoln High star on its cover in 2002. Jay-Z even dined with Telfair at the rapper's exclusive restaurant, 40/40, this summer. but even those close to Telfair understand why tonight's game against Edgewater (Fla.) High will be televised nationally on ESPN2. "LeBron James," Telfair's 32-year-old brother, Danny Turner, said, "paved the way for these high school kids." </div> http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...-2003Dec10.html
I thought it was a really good game. I've seen highlight's of Telfair, but never saw him actually play and he did amazing, especially after his injury. Man, he plays exactly like Marbury.
sebastian is my favorite hs player now, in fact he goes to the hs like 10 mins away from me, i cud c him ne day he leaves school if i wanted. he got mad hops, and plays thru injuries dang good, if its any indication to you guys from the edgewater game, watch out for this kid hes gonna be a star.
I played against him, he is really good, but i would recommend him at least 1 year at college. he is incredibly fast, like lightning fast, you won't believe me until you stick D on him. He has a great jumpshot, when he gets on fire he can shoot threes from half court and make em in easily. But he's only 6'0 or 6'1 pretty strong, but not big enough for the NBA, he might be , but not in my opinion, although he scored like 34 points against us in like 20 minutes without even playing for real. He can compete at NBA level, but who would have him on their starting line up, putting him in the bench is a waste of talent, if he was going to the NBA he would need to play with a team that would start him.
there's no way in hell sebastian will go pro, if he does, he'll be a waste I say he'll go 2 years minimum in college. he's not ready physically for the NBA...Louisville might not be the best fit for him either considering all the guards they already have.
i live in louisville and am a louisville fan. sebastion did sign a letter of intent in november to play for coach pitino and the cards next year. however there was an article in our paper today that said that pitino doesnt expect him to play college ball at all, that he'll jump to the NBA. for the fans here, getting that news realyl sucks b/c he would be amazing on this team, despite what others think, b/c of coach P and players like cisco garcia and taquan dean. i think he needs to come play for us for at least a year and win us the national championship that our city deserves. plus i think he is not physically ready to go to the NBA. i think someone said this earlier, but why would you go to the NBA where he would probably just sit on the bench, instead of startin for the cards?
I had a chance to play him, and he is ready for the NBA in my opinion, his body is sort of like Dajuan Wagner's, but a little smaller probably, but this guy can outspeed any point guard. He is amazingly fast, his jump shot is crazy when he's hot. When he plays high school ball he pops jumpers from half court, and cashes at times, he has NBA range, NBA speed, and his passing is as good as it gets (His passing is the best thing about him), i can see him start for an NBA team in need of a point guard.
