i just think that he would be better off spending a year in college, i mean it can only make him better right? another thing, he came to louisville to play a game a month or so ago, and he told all the reporters and fans and everyone, that no matter what he would be wearing a red and white jersey next year, he even promised the fans (and trust me there were alot for just a high school game, well over 7,500) that nothing would keep him away except for injury. i think he owes it to the city and to himself to play at least a year.
I see..., I also know you are a big fan of Louisville, and if I was I would be happy to see him come to my team. But having the chance to get drafted out of high school, and pretty high is a once in a lifetime chance. He learns fast, real fast, so i expect him to do well. A year in Louisville wouldn't hurt him, Pitino is a great coach, he can certainly learn from him, but he's gonna chose for himself. Personally i'd like to see him play in the NBA, just my opinion. Here is a link to an article about him probably going to the NBA: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/hschool/...7p-145119c.html Here are his stats: http://psal.org/psalsports/player/psal_pla...8877&csport=001
i guess if he's projected to be a lottery pick, he will go... he knows and we know that NBA talent evaluators aren't dumb, if they say that he should be picked in the top 5, that means he can already play at the NBA level... one year of college might hurt if he got injured, but injury-free, it should tremendously benefit him... he could make a bigger impact than TJ Ford now has on the Bucks, after one year of college...
He isnt going to go to the league he isnt stupid. And also he is not the next LeBron there will never be another LeBron. Telfair is just one more excelent high school players.
He's only 18, right? So he'll have to go to college or something for two years, with the new 20 year age thing David Stern placed for the NBA.
yea he was but he was ready his numbers speak for themselve. but telfair wouldnt be able to, not yet.
He would be the smallest guy to ever go straight to the pro's by far. He should go to college, and he's already 19? Does he turn 20 this year, like Amare did. If he does, what happened? Oh and that other kid Chris Mayo, isn't he 16 and a freshman.
I think he needs atleast 1 year of college..I mean size counts a lot in the NBA, and even lebron was 6'8"...Sebastian is what, 6'2"? To be that size (an average size for a guard in the NBA is 6'4") you must have tremendous skills, and while he is skilled, he's not NBA level yet...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting cArMeLo15:</div><div class="quote_post">Do you mean OJ Mayo? Or is their another Mayo?</div> Dag, I thought it was Chris, but yeah there's no other Mayo, so I was wrong.
sebastian is lucky if he's 6'0. hes not very big at all. i thought he was 18, but if hes 19 he must have just turned 19 b/c i believe when he came to louisville to play a game he was still only 18. i hope he comes to UofL for @ least a year b/c i want my team to win a national championship!!!
Telfair needs to come to UL. Pitino would be ahppy to have him and he can really help them out. If the Cardinals did end up having Telfair go there they would be stocked on guards. Telfair first needs to make an impression in the NCAA game before going to the NBA. I hate when all of these highschool players enter the league too early and skip college.
Yeah and he's to small. I can't see Sebstian making a impact like Lebron, I know his family living in the projects has been hell for him and his family. He lost a family member, it's sad but if he decides to go to the pros. U can see why, but I hope he atleast goes to go to college for 1 year.
