    Hmmm. Ok

I'd say more but I'd hate to offend anyone

This reminds me of a joke

What did the sign in front of the brothel that went out of business say?

    Beat it, we're closed

Stotts did well tonight. Deserves credit for letting Nurk/CJ roll and not forcing Lillard or his "system" on the game. Saw very little 3 man weave against the Nuggets.

With Vonleh playing well and getting more minutes, Stotts has no other options at center. Besides, he's being shopped for next offseason.

God I hope he's gone next offseason, because I wonder at times if Davis with one arm would be more effective than Nards.

I'll give him this- in recent games (last 5 to 10?), it seems to me that he has been a LOT faster calling the timeout, when it's needed. Last night was a great example. Now if he would just stop putting Butters into the game.....

I've been pro-Stotts the whole time, so no problem.

That being said, throughout the first 2/3 of the season most of the players played substantially worse than they did the last half of last season. So, some criticism is definitely warranted.

OTOH, the shitshow that is the Denver Nuggets chemistry has really made me appreciate Stotts more. Add to that, at least two Nuggets (Faried and Barton) referred to being outcoached or similar after last game.

This is why I prefer to add to our coaching staff vs getting rid of Terry. There are little things I get frustrated with, i.e not fighting enough for his players with the refs ( which he did last night, and IMHO it helped) AND of course the defense. I still say we need to add a defensive minded veteran assistant (i.e Dick Harter back in the day) but Terry needs to stay for all the other things he does well. The players love and respect him....and they would know best.

The defensive effort by the team against Utah last night was extremely fun to watch.

Terry Stotts is the best HC Portland has had in my lifetime.
He has flaws, but his strengths are undeniable.

Turner is playing consistent, Nurk is showing continued improvement.
Lillard is dominating, CJ isn't over dribbling as much.
    Harkless is playing extremely well.
Davis is perhaps the best big off the bench in the NBA.
Collins is showing depth to his game.
The baseball player has filled and performed better than AC did last year.

Top 5 coach in the NBA.
One of these years he'll get this team performing before the all-star break.

Terry deserves some credit for how this team is playing. It is his system that is making it happen. And the trust from the players has always been there, but he might be finally getting the full trust of the fans as well. The players have bought into the system 100%. Have we?

I’ll reserve judgement for the playoffs and when we stop playing teams that are decimated by injury or flat out sitting out stars.

You are obviously free to have your opinion. I won't bust your about that. But we have beaten some quality terms during this run, including one win against a fully healthy Warriors and one against Utah.

The team is on an amazing run and has shown the rest of the league that they are serious players this year. It has definitely been fun and the defense has been outstanding. Stotts deserves kudos for getting this team to play the way they have been playing.

I wanted him gone after we let Bradley Beal score 50 on us without John Wall - but obviously the man has done wonders turning this ship around. The crazy improvement we've seen on defense without sacrificing offense (ala Nate McMillan) is something to behold.
