I;m pretty sure kj knows what he is saying. If you don't understand what someone is saying try asking them to clarify rather than raise the tension by insinuating someone doesn't know what they are saying. That's a good reason why many of your discussions go sideways with others

I’d probably go with Carlisle, though an argument for Stotts here is understandable, but a ring as a head coach means a lot. Interesting that Stotts was the OC. Maybe Stotts is better suited as an Offensive guy? Totally understand making a change can backfire. Risks are just part of how business works. I think the time to fire Stotts was after the NO series. Right now it would look strange (nationally) and all that. They did go to the WCF’s and this year even if he’s an issue, he certainly isnt the biggest.
There is no way for me to know the answer to that. Maybe a new coach gets them there, maybe a different coach goes further, or maybe a new coach has them down drafting Zion! I don't know...
1. I'd reread what Bones is saying. He's not doing what you're saying. KJ is fine too. They are just talking. 2. People bring up the ousting of Mark Jackson and subsequent hiring of Steve Kerr as an example of sometimes something that is working can work better if you take that chance, or that calculated risk. I don't know how far we can go with or without Stotts. The theoretical is not my favorite realm. But I do know that I'm tired of what the Blazers do on offense and on defense. I'm tired of isolation. I'm tired of the lineups. I'm tired of the poor rotations. And on and on and on and on. Give me the say and I think it's time to move on from Stotts, and Olshey for that matter.
I think that every GM and coach has a shelf life and there's little doubt that Terry and Neil are getting towards their pull dates. My issue is not with changing coach and GM, it's the discussion mid-season about dumping these guys. Personally, I'm in favor of letting Olshey have one more season to show if the roster that he says can contend when healthy actually can do that. I'd also let Terry have one more run just because his players are comfortable with him and know his system. The following summer would be truth or consequences time. If the team is set for a run as a contender, great. Otherwise, I'd ax both of them. I'd probably trade Dame and CJ at that point for as many picks and good players as possible and look for a total rebuild. OTOH, there's always the possibility of a change of ownership and everything being set in motion earlier.
