If TOR fires Casey, look for Stotts to try to bring him to POR as a lead assistant. They were both assistant coaches together under George Karl in SEA and under Rick Carlisle in DAL. The year DAL won the championship, Stotts was their lead offensive assistant coach and Casey was their lead defensive assistant coach. They have worked well together in the past. So, unless Casey gets another head coaching job right away, I would not be surprised to see him reunite with Stotts as an assistant in POR.

    Injured and/or dysfunctional...

    2014:
Pelicans (No Jrue or Tyreke IIRC)
Grizzlies (CJ smashed Conley and a banged up Allen+Gasol)
    Houston (TRASH)
    Cavs (No Love or Kyrie)

    2015:
    Houston (TRASHHHHHHHHH)
Blazers (Gave them a hell of series despite being young, inexperienced, and undersized)

Well, considering they've now made it to the ECF, I'm guessing Casey isn't going anywhere.

And, it wasn't any Steph Curry/GSW voodoo that got Blatt fired. It was LeBron.

Yep, I really think his job was on the line today. His team stepped up and bought him another year.

Not really. Tom Thibodeau functioned in that role for Doc Rivers in Boston. Ron Adams currently serves that role for Steve Kerr in Golden State.

I wonder if Mike Brown, Byron Scott, or Scott Skiles would be interested in DC positions.

Terry Stotts was safe in Portland and then Lillard had to come out and speak up for him, thereby dooming him.

Not really interested in Brown or Scott and Skiles won't take anything less than a head coaching job.

Well, find someone. This stuff might be too much for one guy to take on in most cases.

I know we've given him crap after losses, but Stotts has done a damn good job here in Portland...why let him go? There isn't a better coach available...and after the amazing season the Blazers have had, this just doesn't make sense

Shit, Allen should have written Stotts a check on the way out after game 5

I wonder if they got that rumor from this thread. Stotts job is not under threat, he just nearly won coach of he year. I think the only way he'd get canned is if Olshey gets multiple big FAs and the team falls totally flat next year.

Actually, I hear Aldridge is retiring, just so he can return to Portland as our new head coach

Has this been posted here? Sorry if it has...

Not sure who this guy is or how much I believe it. He still has 1 year on his contract so they would have to fire him in order to not bring him back. I just don't see how that happens, and think this guy is crazy for thinking so. I guess time will tell...

I hope Terry isn't thinking about pulling a LaMarcus and going to Cleveland. Grass is always greener Terry!

I thought Casey's contract ended this year just like Terry's. My bad.
