Texas is ranked ahead by .0007. USC is better I think and it dosen't matter because technically, nothing has changed in the national title race. Texas may finish on top of the BCS Rankings because they have an easier schedule.

USC will probably catch up since they do have cal and UCLA left on
Both USC & Va Tech have harder schedules from here on out. It may hurt Texas if they have to play Colorado (again) in the Big 12 championship.
Pac-10 is not a weak conference this season for once. It's pretty solid. The Big 12 is though. USC will regain the spot when they beat Cal and UCLA. Both home games. VT has no shot of passing Texas unless Ohio State stumble two more times. The Ohio State victory has been a gift to Texas so far especially when it comes to the BCS.
I dont like the move to put USC down, they have won the last 2 championships, and they havent lost a game so i think USC should be #1
despite all this BCS crap with Texas 1 and USC 2 it'll most probably be those two teams in the Rose Bowl. VT isnt close enough to do somethin in the BCS standings. USC has to shore up their crappy defense though, the fact that they have struggled against not as good teams and then should have lost against Notre Dame it shows that maybe they shouldnt be #1. The way both teams are playing now Texas should win the national championship.
