I think virgin birth is nonsense but if someone wants to believe it, no skin off my ass. As long as it isn't used as excuse to take away my civil rights.
This is my problem with Christianity. Once you've brainwashed somebody into believing that you've got them well on the road to the 3,000 year old flat Earth...
I didn't walk into squat. But, hey, that's OK, say that I did. If abortion is legal, Fine. I don't have to agree with, nor support that, though. If gay marriage is legal, then fine. I don't have to agree with, nor support that, though.
It's not gay marriage. It's marriage. And I don't recall you asking me if I approve of your marriage. So what gives you the right to support or not support mine?
My brother (agnostic at best, atheist at worst) went out of his way to visit both the museum and the Noah’s Ark Project on the same day. While he found both of them fascinating, at the end of the day he was disgusted with himself for helping to encourage their ignorance. Neither venue is inexpensive…….which tends to ramp up cynicism. Profit before enlightenment…..
They can have all the rights they can get. Still doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Smokers should have rights, too, right? Let one smoke in a booth next to you in your favorite s=restaurant.
So tell me, oh great Christian, are you saying marriage equality kills people like second hand smoke? Or being gay is an addiction like tobacco? Love thy straight neighbors, I guess.
Thanks for weighing in. The silly point was that, sometimes rules are made, even when others don't agree, When it comes to gay marriage, I don't agree with it. Certainly doesn't mean it won't (nor doesn't_ happen, though. I live with it.
Alex has never related that he's gay. He had simply said he wanted to be a different sex. And the jury's still out on that.
