Re: "Thank God for opt outs" - KG Yeah, he makes in a year enough money to last him for the rest of his life, he doesn't need any more cash. If he cared about the ring he'd sign with a great team for a small amount of money.

Kevin McHale hasn't done sh*t for KG. He hasn't taken any gambles or built up the courage to get his nose dirty in trade talks. He's done nothing to help him. KG has given his heart, time, and effort to that organization and they have done nothing to repay him. Michael Jordan couldn't win this team a title. He needs help. This is why we all say he deserves it. Not just because he's a great player, but because he's given his soul to the Minnesota Timberwolves organization, and they have done sh*t to help him win in Minnesota. Outside of Sam Cassell, he hasn't had anything to write home about. An injured Wally Szczerbiak, and aging/greedy Latrell Sprewell, Eddie "jack off in the car" Griffin.... Troy Hudson? They've done nothing for him. They have a mediocre squad right now, and outside of KG only 2 players on that team have any kind of trade value (Randy Foye and Ricky Davis). I blame the ownership for doing practically nothing to try and make that team a contender.
Re: "Thank God for opt outs" - KG Under the impression the management would make changes? That's okay the first 6 years, but he's been there over a decade now. I like KG a lot, I've met him, shook his hand and he talked to my dad and I for a few minutes, love the guy, but he's stayed there too long, it's great to see a loyal guy but it's been over a decade and he needs to make up his mind already or stop taking issue with it every year. It's like somebody complaining about their job year after year, either get a new job and fix your situation or just shut up.

KG stayed knowing they did not have a good track record of gathering talent and succeeding. Yet he stayed for the bucks and now he's in a dreck. I don't feel sorry for him, it's his own fault for sticking with them. The Joe Smith debacle should have been a buzzer sounding off for him but he ignored it.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>This is why we all say he deserves it. I laugh at the Iverson situation really, he finally got traded because he deserved a championship. But guess what, he's not really in a great position in competing now is he. I can't wait till we hear the 2nd coming of Iverson needs to be traded for a ring.
Re: "Thank God for opt outs" - KG Iverson might not be in a "great" situation to compete for a ring, but he damn sure is in a better one than he was in Philly. But I agree, players don't "deserve" rings... they might deserve a better effort from their front office, but not necessarily a ring.KG needs to make up his mind as to what is more important to him: loyalty, money or a ring. Obviously I don't think it's the money... so if he really wants a ring he needs to open up his eyes and realize he won't win one in Minnesota. He can't really wait till after next season and opt-out, because what kind of impact will he have then? I'm not saying he's going to be worthless or a scrub, but his window of opportunity is going to be one year shorter at that point. As for Minnesota, they are really stupid. They should have traded Garnett over the summer. The longer they keep him and the more unhappy he gets, the less they will get in return for him. Look at the Iverson trade... we traded him maybe a year or two later than we should have, and didn't really get much in return, but luckily for us it looks like we lucked out on that deal with this loaded draft and a very, very serviceable Andre Miller.Kevin McHale and Glen Taylor both need to grow a pair of balls and trade the man for both the franchise's sake, and KG's.

Nuggets are in a terrible shape cap wise and have a short window of opportunity with Iverson, and are in a tougher conference. They may win more games than Philly did(Nugs obviously are more talented) but his situation is about as mediocre as it was in Philly imo. He's stuck in purgatory. Nugs are an 8th seed right now I believe and have a chance to miss the playoffs. Similar to Philly out East with Iverson. But with that aside, Philly made the right move to move on and so should the Wolves. It's just the other angle with players deserving a ring that bother me.
Re: "Thank God for opt outs" - KG I meant at least he has better talent around him to work with. Obviously it will be a hell of a lot tougher to get out of the West than the East, but at least the talent level in Denver is better than what we had in Philadelphia (although I'm wondering what could have been if it was the two AIs together and no Webber). But I agree... Minnesota needs to realize it's time to move on. They have said they don't want to trade him because of the backlash of the fans... that was the same reason Billy King was hesitant to trade Iverson. Now, Philly fans realized it was time to trade him, and most Minny fans feel the same way about KG. The longer McHale waits to trade Garnett, the less he'll get back in return. He certainly won't have a lot of leverage next season with KG having the player option at the end of next season... if they don't make a deal for KG this summer, it is going to get very, very, very ugly. Might as well start the rebuilding process sooner rather than later, especially considering they aren't really going anywhere with Garnett at the moment.

Im sure that when we was signing his major extension, he wasnt thinking that his general manager would give him sh*t to work with. He just doesn't have the pieces in Minnessota to win a championship, and he has to get out fast while he could still be the best player on his team, if not 2nd best. I see him leaving after his contract is up, and singing with a big contender in the eastern conference.

Miller is 30 he won't be around when we are ready to be good. And the 2 picks will probably be bench guys maybe one so so starter. Only pick really that be a starter is are own, and we had that anyway it was a PATHETIC trade. I know we could not get = value, but we deff could have gotten better value if Billy was not a idiot and benched him saying he is out no matter what. Yeah that gave him lots of choices.DAMN you Billy King IDIOT MORON
