Do it the french way, half butter half potatoes.

I do similar as above, but I also boil garlic with the potatoes and mash them together. Use a ricer, those things rock.

I use cream, butter and egg yolks in my potatoes. Duchess potatoes are cream and butter mashed potatoes turned into casserole with egg and then baked.

(Almost) Everything is good as far as I am concerned. Tend to avoid sugar though so abstain from any desert. Also am allergic to beets, so that's a no go too.

The gravy is done! Packed and ready to take to the family feast!

Didn't do the Apple Cider one.

The Bourbon gravy is my favorite. Really good.

Getting ready to start the gravy for the gravy bar this year.

Dumping the caramelized onion gravy but adding bacon to the bourbon gravy.

Looks great except I'd replace the pumpkin cream pie with either mince meat or NY style cheese cake on a graham cracker crust and I'd skip the macaroni and cheese. Oh and my stuffing is going to be traditional bread cubes with sage herb, water chestnuts and giblets. Another thing I forgot, I'd replace the pinot noir with a fruity chenin blanc. I'd save the viognier for after dinner.

How did last year's Thanksgiving thread get bumped ahead of 2018?

I love smoked oysters. I use to eat them with a bowl of chili and some crackers. You've made my stomach growl. What time's dinner?
