I've had so many people tell me I look like Kelly McGillis in the years since Top Gun came out. If you've seen any recent photos you realize the years haven't been too kind to her. I really don't want to hear that if she's in the sequel.
Haha, yeah, I noticed that. Well, he was half right. He was probably pissed he didn't get to play with Roy instead of Foye.
damning with faint praise. They aight, I guess, jus' doin' wat they spose to do. I mostly agree for what its worth. As for the Clippers game, I was stunned at what Griffin was doing in the first quarter. Geez that dude was FAST and crazy active. Before the 1st had ended, I said to myself, "Blake Griffin better start learning to pace himself, that dude is going to blow a gasket." Sure enough. But as this thread is about Vet feel, you could see in the game no upset or loss of composure by the Blazers. They looked at this guy flying all over the court and dunking, they just went "eh, two points is still just two points, we will trot down to the other end and get them back. Game is 48 minutes long."
And Roy turned to him and said, "This is why I don't do shit in the preseason rook.... It's all about pacing yourself."
Yeah, if Griffin can get his cardio up to the point where he can play like that for 30-35 minutes a night, jesus he's going to be great. As it is, Aldridge is now just as far away from making an All Star game as he was last year. Amare's gone, but if it comes down to Aldridge and Griffin, Griffin is going to get it.
I think it's because people don't like "soft" power forwards as much as they like a forward who can just dominate the paint. I don't put Dirk into that category because he's just insane from the perimeter. Aldridge is not.
I'm one of those people. I hate this new hybrid 4 trend thats taking the NBA by storm. I want a rough and tumble PF. A player who will get down and dirty. In fact, Brian Grant in his prime was my ideal 4.
I like a guy with a bit more offensive game than Grant. I loved BG's heart and courage. I thought he was one of the hardest working guys in basketball. I just want a guy who can dominate the paint as well. Maybe a Tim Duncan/Karl Malone/Kevin McHale type of guy.
