<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>Interesting to see who the top posters are here on the NFL Forums: BearsFan1 3293 Steelerfan_2005 2392 nflfan04 2049 TheBeef 1979 blackadder 1881 Philly_Freak93 1817 Pack Attack 1732 Pats37 1568 Giantsfan1 1358 vikingfan 1259 Cowboy71 1058 Next up for Hall of Fame induction J-E-T-S 1083. He's currently sitting at 949. No point, really. Just interesting. Carry on, then. </div> Lets back up to the first post. I don't really pay close attention, but just out of curiosity, I check the post standings like Pack. I have no point for doing it really, as Pack pointed out after posting the same thing. Number of posts have as much to do with the longevity of a person as the frequency per day. Dawk is still up there (Philly Freak 93) and he hasn't posted much lately. To Porky (Panthers, etc): Whether you have posted 300 times or 3000 times does not make any difference to me. There are certain people that I like to discuss issues with on this forum more than others. It is because they bring something valuable to the posts. Some of these people are new and some have been here awhile. There are some people that have been here awhile that I do not enjoy as much, for that matter. Where people get rubbed wrong regarding the post count is when chunk of them are dedicated to saying how many someone has or how many more they need to achieve a certain number. I think some of the older people get particularly turned off because there is limited time for them to check posts, and it is hard to weed through the lesser-important posts. I am not implying that anyone does or doesn't do any of this, but it is something we should each be aware of. There is a history for most of the old members of this forum. We've been burned in a couple areas before. There are many forums elsewhere that get more in-depth details to our perspective teams, but this became a place to discuss things on a NFL-wide scale. Unlike other forums, we hope to attract long-term posters who act civil and provide valuable comments. I, myself, enjoy hearing news about other teams and can find this as a valuable news area for the different teams. I think some of the opinions can be a little too much off shooting-from-the-hip. Please continue to stick around and participate. Continue to add something to the conversation. Bite your tongue and refrain from posting comebacks at times when you learn that it is better. It sounds corny, but the saying that a wise man listens more than he talks has some worth. The best responses are ones that you have to think about a little bit. There are a few posters that try not to get caught up in the media topic-of-the-week and try to come up with their own interesting topics to discuss. We need more like that to discuss ..... I wish I was better at that.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (vikingfan)</div><div class='quotemain'>MM, your post was out of line. Maybe this will clarify some things: 1. Posts don't make you better than another member. 2. How long you have been a member doesn't make you better either. Panthers and Porky have come here and become significant members of the forum, whether you like it or not. They have (for the most part) talked about football and added to the conversations. The whole topic of how fast someone gets to 1000 posts should be relatively harmless. All it really means is that they spend a lot of time here...and we should all like that. Having members who participate is good for the forums, as long as they participate in a thoughtful way, which both of these men have done. So, for what its worth, congrats to Panthers and Porky. I'm happy to have them here, I know some others are happy to have them here.</div> Sorry VF. I was typing the same time you were. Unfortunately for me, you were much more to the point. Maybe I'm the one that needs the new Pontificator title.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DaPackersGb)</div><div class='quotemain'>IM CLSOEING IN...lol</div> lol i just laughed cause of the way u spelled closing** and its closing not closeing or clsoeing or soelcsaopdfasd;fljkasdfj ok btw vf and cowboy put this whole thing in perpective sure they are at 1000 posts in a month. but that doesnt make them less likeable or not as experienced as others on this forum. Just because they just got here doesnt mean the older ppl or smarter. As VF said we should be happy we found two great contributors to this forum and the fact is before this thread, which kinda got out of hand and blown out of proportion, they've never done anything we've had anything to complain about. THey havent been posting spam or junk or non contributing things. We all talk football here, and just because u have more posts than someone else doesnt make u more or less smarter than anyone one else on the forum. like i'm much smarter than BF and hes got plenty more posts than me... its a good example
The only nonfootball talk ive had is in here, i dont really care about posts anymore, ill be gone to the beach till sunday so i wont be on very much
I should hit my 1000 by mid season. Unless the Chiefs start out awesome and my trash-talking helps push it up considerably. (Or if they start out horribly and I spend 150 or so posts cursing their existance) Either way, it's a pretty safe assumption that I won't catch BF1 anytime soon. I still have hopes of catching Steelerfan and Dawk (Now that they are rarely here!)

Whether it's me panthers or anyone else.</div> We're talking online! Do u really take things too seriously?!?! I think BF1 meant tht u have over 1,000 posts but it doesnt mean ur as experienced as other members. U can have all the posts u want but it wont mean crap. U were here a month and both u and Panthers are the most unexperienced members on the forums at 1,000 posts. Posts dont make u better than n e one with under 1,000 posts. I dont think many people have respect for u so thts y no one really cares about the 1,000 posts u both made. I think its sad tht u guys have over 1,000. </div> So it don't matter that Panthers and I have a 1000 posts but all you guys it does hmmmmmmm. I like the layout of the site but not the attitude of some of the members aren't very good. If I would of came across this site in a year ago you wouldn't be talken right now. I never said it was all about posts and I don't think it is all about posts but I come on here to talk football and thats what I do. If you have a problem with it fine so be it. What makes you better than me or panthers. Because you found this site before us. You've been here longer so your better now. I doubt that. If you don't care about Panthersare1 and I getting to 1000 then why post and may I say b!tch and moan about it. As for unexperience I have watched and played football my entier life so I am very experience when it comes to the concept of american football. I may not agree with you or anyone else sometime and I may agree with you but that is a football forum. I think its sad that your talking about us having a 1000 posts when your no better than either of us.</div> Ok let me clear his up. First im sorry Porky and Panthers because i was disrepectful. I didnt mean for it to be offensive but obviously i was. I sometimes dont think before i speak. Im not saying im better than u or Panthers or have more experience in football. In experience i meant is ive been here longer and probably know the people better. Ur right we're here to talk about football but not posting. I think its the quality tht counts not the amount and youve both done a good job with tht. The reason i got a bit ticked is tht u were accussing others of having bad posts but its not like u havent. Im sure we all have done some bad posts so its not a big deal but i hate it when people accuse others when posting badly themselves. Both u and Panthers have made good posts and congrats on breaking 1,000!!!!

I kind of wish some of the older members would show their face a little more...many seem to have been scared off by the influx of new members. Now if we can all agree that there are no hard feelings, I'd like to move on with increasing all of our post counts with conversations about football. Agreed?
