Actually, I just read a rambling, hate-filled letter of hers on Yahoo about her reaction to the election. You're right: she's number one. Despicable woman.
But I guess it boils down to how you define "elite" in this instance. Either way....not a fan of any flavor of it.
Not the same situation. Obama, The Elitists and Globlalists had this country as we knew it on the ropes. I come in here ever so often to see comments DEATH TO THE GOP. It's not like this doesn't cross minds of the liberal. So why didn't they put THAT America away? This was their moment. This was their chance. Their chance to remake this country exactly how they envision it. They didn't do it! I believe firmly with the younger generation, they had the numbers. I don't get why the liberal establishment wasn't on the same page. People who are rioting and protesting on the streets of Portland have no one to blame but themselves. So QUIT already! They may never get another chance ever again if Donald does what he says he is going to get a chance to do, to appoint 4 supreme court justices. They're toast.
And this sums it up. People need a "liberal" once in a while to remember why they don't want what they're peddling. http://www.bostonglobe.com/news/politics/2016/11/12/shribman/r1kEAvFubT7k2WgfeHqyVL/story.html “Trump took advantage of 30 years of job losses, flat wages, rising insecurity, and the industrial working class’s feeling that the system doesn’t work anymore,’’ said Leo Gerard, president of the United Steelworkers union, based here. “The attitude was: ‘Why not take a chance?’ ” Clinton/Obama 16 of the last 24 years
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...aw-the-economic-crisis-the-others-didn-t.html In the coming months, we'll hear about how the democratic system failed. The reality is that it worked. In debate after debate, candidates exposed themselves not only as unprepared to deal with Americans' quite rational economic perceptions, but as ignorant of them. Clinton was the last woman standing until she, too, fell to the self-professed billionaire from Fifth Avenue who saw what no one else saw. No one, that is, but the voters. Be angry and frustrated that Trump will be our next president, if you will. But be angrier and more frustrated at the elites whose eight-year vacuum created him.
Snort. Gee...I can't IMAGINE why I didn't vote for your candidate with people like you supporting her.... Wait a minute....I thought it was TRUMP who was "anti-women"? Oh yeah....Trump is anti-women alright.......
When your President goes to the White House lawn to tell the world that your beloved Clinton has bowed out to Trump..... Yes, that's an ACTUAL photograph of the White House staff listening to Obama tell the nation about Hillary's defeat. Beautiful, isn't it?
There's a lot of interesting ways to speculate why why Trump was elected, but when I look at the numbers, to me to me it seems it was simply that Clinton did not excite her base enough to get out and vote. Trump actually got less votes than Mitt Romney did in 2012. And I don't think Mitt was exactly a set the world on fire canidate, the republican base just backed their guy. Clinton got 5 million less votes than Obama did in 2012. So to me, that indicates the issue was more that people didn't want to vote for Clinton.
There's also a non-insignificant number of Obama voters that backed Trump; particularly in the rust belt states. Obama promised "Hope & Change" and people in those places got neither. Add in Clinton's establishment, "4 more years of the same bullshit" message and it starts to make more sense -- People are tired of corruption and feeling that that the system is rigged against them. So tired they'd be willing to back a loose cannon like Trump (who is a vile human being), but he's an outsider.
There are millions of uncounted ballots in California and Washington. Sounds like Clinton's final popular vote numbers will be close to Obama's second election. Where she failed was getting out the Dem vote ( a lot of it blacks) in the Midwest.
Or....maybe they've FINALLY figured out that the Democrats don't care about them, and that it's time to leave the Plantation.
Didn't this photo come out originally come out and republicans say it was the staff watching Trump come in to meet with Obama. Which then someone on this very forum mentioned it was faked. Now people are saying it's staff listening to Obama tell the nation about Clinton's defeat?
That's exactly what I've heard as well. There was even an article out there debunking the "Trump Meeting Obama" story, and confirmed that this was, indeed, the staff listening to Obama address the nation about the election results.
