    I guess my thought when reading the post was that it was 2 1st rounders or a young player tofu their needs. They got Bagley so I wonder why Cronin didn't get Hayes from N.O. as first rumored the night before and flip him to Detroit? I know there are a lot of moving parts, but seems like he was maybe trying to get some young players that fit Detroits wish list more than our and he read them wrong. Just me speculating because I really don't get what happened this week with Portland.

    My biggest fear is the old adage - Free agent stars never sign to play in Portland, Oregon.

    Dame or no Dame, the top free agents just don’t find Portland appealing, Oregon State tax attractive, etc.

    After shooting a blank at the trade deadline, my hopes for a rebuild-around-Dame are fleeting. What if both Ant and Nurkic are offered crazy deals….and if so, we won’t be able to match both in such an instance. All in all, Joe got some dirty work out of the way but failed to clean up his mess in the end!

    I can’t figure out how Dallas could beat our package, given that Morey wants to take as little salary back in the deal as possible…

    We also have access to more future picks than Dallas does.

    Something tells me Portland will figure out a way to get a deal done.
