Kings fans don’t seem to like it much on Twitter because they’ve already got a billion centers.

yeah that’s who I’d prefer. That’d be more of an even swap.

holmes is good, but the rest are trash. they need a guard consolidation trade as much as us.

flipping Fox for Sabonis would be a great trade for Sac.

Yeah, I was just pointing out they don’t seem thrilled with it, surprisingly.

I think a decent amount prefer Simmons so they can keep Holmes.

either would be a good trade for them if they manage to keep Haliburton

I honestly think fox is Sacramento’s third best point guard when it’s all said and done.

i don't trust him, but pincus says...

    * Look for the Portland Trail Blazers to make moves to get under the NBA's $136.6 million luxury tax threshold. The team is currently near $140 million in salary. Players potentially on the move could include Robert Covington, Jusuf Nurkic and Larry Nance Jr. Given the team gave up a first-rounder (to the Chicago Bulls in a three-team deal with the Cavaliers) to get Nance, the team is naturally looking for greater compensation. Several teams have large enough trade exceptions to absorb Covington's salary outright, including the New Orleans Pelicans and Boston Celtics.

    * The Pelicans are believed to be buyers at the deadline, interested in using their $17.1 million trade exception (from the Steven Adams trade). The team also has several potential assets like Tomas Satoransky's expiring contract and young players like Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Jaxson Hayes. One possible target for the Pelicans is believed to be Detroit's Grant.

I mean, saying the Blazers want to get under the tax line is not exactly news.

It isn't sexy, but I think it could work.

CJ and Covington to Cleveland for Love and Okoro. Not sure if Cleveland would be willing to do it, but I think it could help both teams.

We could then see if we can flip Powell and a pick for a 3/4 (ideally Grant's value comes back down to earth).

    Lillard/Simons
    Okoro/Simons
    Little/Snell
    Grant/Love
    Nurkic/Nance

We would be a lot tougher, rebound like hell, and passing would improve a lot (addition by subtraction with CJ gone). Cleveland is in a good place though so I doubt they'd go for it and Grant probably goes for more as well.

The cavs were rumored to be interested in CJ before the draft, plus Rubio went down.

Could we get okoro, a first, and filler (love)?

That team screams purgatory. Simons is better than Okoro, it doesn’t even make sense to start Okoro over him. Nance is 6’7, you have one 7’er. I’d rather get picks back for Norman rather than attach picks to him for Grant. Grant has made it clear he wants to get all the shots on a losing team, the chances of you giving up Norm and a pick for nothing by summer 2023 will be very high. Love doesn’t help us compete at that salary. You’ve also just essentially just said “yes I’ve seen Snell play all season—of course I see him being the first wing off the bench on a championship contending team”.

In your scenario we give up Covington, CJ, Norm, and a pick. No picks back in return. Yeah I’m chillin on that trade proposal. I see us being the one that declines this offer, not Cleveland. We might be tougher on the wings, but we won’t be rebounding like hell, I can tell you that. Your would-be PF (Grant) averages less rpg than your would-be SF (Little), so I’m not sure what made you think we’d be rebounding like hell in the first place.

Yeah what the FUCK has Okoro done to be worth CJ AND RoCo? Love is still completely overpaid, he's good for like 20 minutes a night (when healthy.) Thats a brutal trade, no offense.

What do you think CJ is worth grand intelligent master Scalma? Can't believe you're not working in an NBA front office. I think he's a middling asset, Love makes less, Okoro was a top 8 pick last year and has shown the ability to play lockdown D (that's what the FUCK he has done). Roco is an expiring aged player doubt his value is through the roof.

I think that guy was kind of dreaming. although the trade with Atlanta might be doable. Powell, Roco and Nance for Hunter. Okongwu, Gallinari and two picks. Atlanta might think that would give them some toughness and experience.

Have you been discussing that with Grant? I saw one article that didn't include direct quotes that indicated he wanted to be
"a primary offensive option". You're stretching "made it clear" quite a bit.

Congratulations, you pointed out the one member of the frontcourt that isn't a good rebounder. However, Nurk, Little, and Love are elite, Nance is passable, and Grant would be guarding out on the wing more often on defense anyways. We would be much better at rebounding than this year with Roco.
